After a couple weeks pause I have just started again. Today I finished the in-game rotation/flip. Will now begin the in-game resizing of textures. After this the game will need much less disk space (but probably be a bit slower and use a bit more memory).

Det är bra du puchar mig
![]() I have now completed the software resizing (shows the image in double resolution). First column shows rotation 90 degrees to the right next column shows them flipped last column shows interlaced (fast) half size + (slow) smooth half size + (fast) interlaced 75% + (slow) smooth 75%. Note: my emulator only shows 16bit, but in most mobiles this will be in 24bit, making it even smoother. Will now start remaking the game with 9x9 tiles per room instead of 3x3 (making each tile have width and height 1/3). |

Been working on title screen last few days.
Don't know how I will do it. I think I will support these resolutions, but are not sure if I should do it in some other more dynamic way: 128x160, 176x220, 240x320, 320x240, 360x640, 640x360. Any common resolution I missed? |

You could have just one image in HVGA resolution (320x480).
Then you stretch it with aspect ratio of 1:1 intact, and finally trim it to fit the screens actual resolution. For examlpe 240x320 screen: Resize to 240x360, trim upper and lower parts by (360-320)/2 pixels each to acieve a 240x320 image. This will work very well if you make sure to have some "spare" graphic at the borders of your image (say, like the outermost 25 or so pixels) and if the screen is a smooth image (and not a pixel-perfect one). |

I think there is also 176x208 resolution as well, and 128x128 but that's an old one really.. |
