Since sierras birth, she has had early intervention. We have talked to the people who do the swallow studies, about getting into feeding therapy but they didnt have any suggestions. The ped.also thought EI was enough. So here we are 1 1/2 years later and I finally went online, found a recomended therapist, got on the 4 month waiting list, and finally have help!!!!I finally feel like we might be getting somewhere. All along, they just kept telling me"we'll just have to wait and see".But now I actually have some one working with Sierra and doing different techniques to hopefully get her swallowing. So far they have already started working on getting her to chew on both sides, and trying to stimulate her senses in the back of her mouth.
Im wondering if you guys have any suggestions for things I should ask about?I just want to make sure we cover everything. Thanks |

That's great that you finally have someone. That can make all the difference I hear. I"m sorry that I don't have any real suggestions for you since Jen didn't have to have that type of intervention. I hope it makes all the difference for Sierra though.
