hot4zlexus - October 16, 2010 12:19 AM (GMT)
I need somewhere in sydney to take my is 200 to get the stereo sorted out, i have fitted an aftermarket amp to it (it already has a pioneer headunit installed) and now it is giving out a bad feedback noise. the car was previously modified by the previous owners and need someone who knows the ins and outs of these cars to sort it for me..
any help is greatly appreciated..
cheers.

Firstly i would buy a RCA noise suppressor which is about $10 it could fix most if not all of the issues.
If not return it and then look into the power cables and make sure they are not run next to you speaker wiring.

Is the factory amp still in use ?
Does the pioneer headunit work ok without the new amp ?

make sure the amp has a Solid stand alone ground wire.

Thanks for the info guys..
I am not sure if the factory amp is still in use, i have bought a bypass lead but when going to install it realised that i was in over my head, as has had alot of the wires cut at the factory amp and not sure how much of it is bypassed. (i will get some photos of it today).
i have the rca's running down the other side of the car to keep them away from the power leads..
where would be the best place to earth it in the boot?, as i have sanded a part back to bare metal and bolted throught the floor of the car..

hey man
first try running power cables down one side of the car and rcas down another...
is the sound like engine noise? or like a constant hiss?
if you run out of ideas and want some one good to look at it, ring northwest customs on 0433 107 400...
what area are you in ?
