Title: Diff codes
Description: & are the 3L stronger?

8ezza - January 23, 2011 04:36 AM (GMT)
Hello,

I am looking at getting an AS300 Gita. I was just wondering if the torsen diffs in the AS300 were stronger than the 2L versions or if they are just the same diff with a different ratio?

Chassis code on one I am looking at is: B01B
I think another one I saw was: B01A (not a torsen - so I assume the first B has to do with being an AS300 diff?)

All I can find info on is the 2L versions which have codes AxxB?
I know (thanks to the forum) that xx refers to the ratio - and the last B means it is a torsen - but what is the first letter A/B?

Cheers

FIRST LETTER
A = 200mm crown wheel
B = 220mm crown wheel

SECOND NUMBER
01 = 4.083 ratio
02 = 3.769 ratio
03 = 3.266 ratio

THIRD LETTER
A = 2 pinion open
B = 2 pinion torsen
C = 4 pinion open
D = 4 pinion torsen

Aparantly, someone else confirm?
