LEXUS GOES EXTREME
Australian international adventure athlete and big wave surfer Mark Visser has chosen Lexus as his vehicle of choice.
Mark's job is to hunt down and ride some of the biggest waves in the world.
An extraordinary athlete, Mark is one of the fittest surfers on the planet and can hold his breath underwater for over six minutes.
He made history recently when he became the first person to successfully ride the infamous 'Jaws' break in Maui at night.
This Night Ride marked the start of a series of world firsts, which will be shown in an upcoming documentary series called 9 Lives.
Mark is currently preparing and training for his next world-first extreme adventure, which will be filmed for the 9 Lives series.
When asked why he puts himself in such extreme situations, Mark's answer is always the same.
"I want to push myself beyond what people think is possible. I am constantly striving to be the best I can be and do things that are thought to be impossible," he said.
"My relationship with Lexus makes perfect sense, because Lexus are constantly striving to better themselves and produce cars that are the best in the world."
Lexus Australia chief executive Tony Cramb said that Visser is the personification of Lexus.
"At Lexus, we are constantly striving to be our best. Our pursuit of perfection mantra defines us as a brand, and is demonstrated in our vehicles," Mr Cramb said.
"Mark Visser shows what can be done by a human being who is equally focused on a pursuit of perfection."
The first episode of 9 Lives, 'Night Rider', will have its world premiere at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast later in 2011.
