Title: Is300 Lsd Options
Abaddon - October 13, 2011 02:18 AM (GMT)
Hi all,
Anyone know of an aftermarket LSD to suit the IS300's B04A diff?
I've been scouring the net all morning and it seems allot of places are selling the RS200 center to suit the IS300 but there is no way its going to fit being an A series.
So much contradictory information regarding common diff's across models etc... anyone know of any diff from another model that definitely fits?
I would be fine with an OEM torsion but they are not too common in Australia.

You can use the TRD 41301-MZ210 centre (8.0").
These have the same diff and your axles will pop straight in:
Altezza Gita - JCE10
Chaser / Mark 2 / Cresta - JZX100 JZX101
Brevis / Progress - JCG11
Origin - JCG17
Crown / Crown Majesta - JZS155 JZS175 JZS177

cheers nick!
I use that site all the time but have never noticed the cross reference search its awesome!
That TRD LSD you quoted also suits the MK3 supra... then the torsion from the later model mk3's should suit the IS300... there must be loads of those at wreckers!

I thought IS300 came with the factory torsen LSD anyway?

Yes and no, physically the centre will fit, but will not suit your stub axles, hence the list I provided.
The ones listed in above are the ones that will fit without any mods!

How much is that TRD diff center worth nick?
Also when you say mods you mean shortening the axle stubs by 6mm right? There is a couple of photos in this link below... doesn't look too tough but I would rather leave the metal there if I can.
http://my.is/forums/f88/how-complete-mkiii...on-swap-406921/If the TRD diff isnt too exy I will probably just go that and have a nice new centre rather than a 20 year old one. Plus the wreckers over here charge almost new prices for parts its ridiculas!

Please email me for pricing, would probably need to cut the axles down a little bit if you want to use a TRD unit. Cusco list one that's direct bolt in though but it is alot more!
