Title: Caliper Slide Pins
Description: fix a seized one, how do they work?

I have fitted new rotors and pads on the front of my car. But after going out for a drive I noticed a tiny bit of smoke, and skin burning heat on the passenger side (only driving 50km/h). Having a second look at it, I've now discovered that one of the caliper slide pins on the passenger side has seized.

Has anyone come across this problem before?

It has seized in a compressed position, which makes it hard to pull the rubber boot/grommet away to possibly get some lubrication in there.

Yep really common problem with these brakes. I took mine to a lexus dealer (as in the caliper bracket) and watched and waited for the guy to get this pin out. Took him 30 minutes of wd40 and abig pipe wrench to try and turn it out. Would highly recommend getting the cylinder bored out and a new pin with plenty of lube
