Title: Mechanic In Hamilton For Squealing Clutch?

matmatoo - February 13, 2012 09:31 AM (GMT)
Hey everyone,

A few weeks ago I began noticing my clutch making a small, faint squealing sound whenever I released the clutch, this squeal would continue while the clutch was out, but as soon as I went to push the clutch in, the squeal would go away. I am now wanting to take the car into be looked at, and I need some advice.

Does anyone know of a honest, cheap and reliable mechanic in the Hamilton/Waikato area?

I am a uni student so am on a budget, hence why I can't really afford to be ripped off... alternatively, if there is anyone on this forum that could lend me a hand, if you are in the Waikato region, I would be really appreciative,

Cheers everyone,
Matt

Sounds like your release bearing has gone. Jason (MadAltezza) is a spanner-jockey in Hamilton B) Flick him a PM and see if he can get you in. VIP rates through xNickx (Nick) at North Shore for the release bearing will be cheaper than retail, even with the VIP one-off membership fee :) Flick him a PM if you want to sort it out :)

Release bearings in altezza's going are quite a common thing. Both of my altezza's did it.
