NZA4LYF - May 15, 2012 01:50 AM (GMT)
Yo so I just had a new clutchkit and flywheel replaced right...
Now I have this like rotating squeel when im idling. It sounds like it's comming from the engine block. At first I thought it was the cambelt but it's not sqeeling when I get the revs up and 2: I had it replaced at 110k and im sitting on 160k now.
Any ideas???

Does it go away when you push clutch in?
Tezz-Winnie - May 15, 2012 02:14 AM (GMT)
You just need to wear in the clutch, what sort of flywheel and clutch have you got?
NZA4LYF - May 15, 2012 02:16 AM (GMT)
Naa it doesnt go away only when I rev go away. It's not the clutch aye like I can litteraly hear it in the engine bay I just don't know what It could be

Not the fanbelt idler bearing that sits by below the powersteering pump and above the aircon pump?

Cost you nothing to fix you just need to break in the clutch.

Done mine recently just got a roller bearing assembly off Nick.
Costs around $25.

Bearing itself is cheap. And if you can drop the pulley into me in the morning I can organise a new bearing and have a new one pressed in at some point during the day when I have time!

Could it just be that they didn't replace the release bearing when they did the clutch, and that is the squeeling noise?? I had the same problem. Check with whoever put the new clutch in, and ask if they replaced the release bearing.

Just an idea, but is it possible for a sound video of the problem? Would be easier to pin point maybe?
