Title: Fuel Rail
Description: what does the thing on it do?

Heya, just just asking what it is and what it does, reason being is when I pulled the plastic yellow cap off the screw fell out that goes in the middle, so unsure if this screw is meant to be done back up tight or what? Is it like a pressure relief or something?
Cheers

Can check the fuel pressure by taking the plastic cap off the fuel pulsation damper (it sits on fuel line where it connects to the fuel rail.

If the screw in the centre pops up during cranking and after (should stay up for an hour or two) there is at least some fuel, if it doesn't then the fuel pump is not working.

Its a pressure regulator valve.

Fuel pressure damper, keeps the fuel from pulsing as much.
Stock regulator sits inside the fuel tank in the cradle with the fuel pump.
Just pop the screw back in and finger tight with a screw driver
