Description: Lots a Pics!

?uestlove - September 29, 2004 12:28 PM (GMT)
Hey guys, Been a while since Ive given you updates, on the 1JZGTE conversion!

All Started, about 4 months ago now, wanting to Turbo the 1GFE, when my mechanic, suggested the 1JZGTE. I researched it, and thought it was a much reliable and economical conversion! Big thanks goes out to GrahamD (Who is also nearly finished) for all the advice and pics he has given me of his beast. The car stayed with the mech, untouched for 3 weeks, Till i got the sh!ts, and took it back.

While I had the car, I installed my TEIN Flex coilovers, with the handy EDFC unit, thanks to Edwin, for taking the time, to take me for a ride in his Flex'd equipped IS300, So I can see what they were like before purchasing!

Handed the car back to the mechanic, after 2 weeks. three months later, and the conversion was looking sweet! Motor Was in, gearbox was in too!

I had Purchased a JDM Altezza LSD, from a place in Melb, this slotted straight in! Also, Thanks to Matt/Serran, Purchased a set of TRD front abd rear sway bars.

I had previously, sold my Beutiful Buddy Club P1 Racing wheels, to fund for the project, so, stock 16" painted "racing black" are in place now.

I had previously purchased as et of Falken FK451 Tyres, from a friend, who sold his 3 day old wheels, back to the supplier, knowing, I will be upgrading to 18" wheels soon, the day came, when I met good friend Che (CCT3), while looking for rims for sale, turned out, he owned a Turbo IS200! We became good mates, via email/phone (Yet to meet the bastard!) and he hooked me up, with some Beutiful RAYS Engineering Wheels from Japan. Big thanks to Che! They are not on the car as yet, as 1 tyre I bought from my friend, was actually damaged, from t he clowns at the tyre shop, not taking the time to take the tyre off properly!

The car was then towed to JEM Motorsport in Moorebank, a friend, and reliable engine tuner, distrubitor of haltech computers. He decided to take on the job, of supplying and installing the Haltech E6X, and also, doing all the re-wiring! The car has been there now about 3 weeks, again, not touched, but knew it wouldnt get started right away, as he was busy. Now, He has gone to NZ, to get married..TODAY!! So i have to now wait, till he comes back on t he 18th of Oct, and he promises to have it ready by that weekend! Fingers Crossed!!

Here are some pics!
Days After I had bought her, Had the wheels before I had the car lol!
