any ideas on where to cruise to tho. the port hills are always fun, go over dyres pass then at the bottom turn right and follow ya nose and from memory i think you can come out on the akaroa highway somewhere...im sure it would be possible to come out around templeton...

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm out till the end of april but early May is ok. That hill run takes you round the hills and you wind up over Gebbies pass to Motukarara. Thereare some nice twisty back roads through Greenpark to Springston as well if you know where you're going from Motukarara. I had a nice play with an RX8 through there a while back.

I agree though, a track day sounds, good. I talked to someone who has taken part, and you need a street legal car, a crash helmet, racing overalls and 0.9kg fire extinguisher mounted in the car, so until I can get the necessary requirements I'm afraid I need to stick to the road and try to keep the speed down

There's a performance car show in Ashvegas tomorrow if anyone is interested in cruising down for a look. LEt me know. You can either go via Leeston and thake the back road to Rakaia or I can meet up with anyone going from Chch at Dunsandel
