Title: Home Page Update

bmalar - April 11, 2007 12:05 PM (GMT)
Just a thought, but i went to the altezzaclub home page for the first time in forever and noticed there are a bunch of articles on it.. All have dates in 2005 & 2006, is it time to update the articles? Or maybe just remove the dates, makes the site look stale..

Just a thought

;)

LXTASY - April 23, 2007 12:21 PM (GMT)
wernt u doing something to ur car? or was it just grinder? thought u were working on something big. :P must have been a mistake. lol.

depends on which car

yes i am installing a rover 3.9v8 into my MGB GT
should be good for around 280bhp - a good raw early morning weekend car
youll need big biceps and balls to drive it ;)

and

my is200 is for sale , however if i cant get the price i want for it, it will go to grinder for an engine conversion, 1jz or 1uz not sure yet
this will be the everyday car :)

yeah keep the IS200. :P is the 1uz the V8 soarer engine from the lexus version?

YellowIS - April 24, 2007 12:45 AM (GMT)
Couldn't help but eavesdrop, yup the 1UZ is the awesome 4ltr N/A motor from the soarer/celisor/crown.

Conversion would require custom intakes, extractors, cats and exhaust plus other bits. Add an aftermarket computer and tune and you can expect everyday useable N/A 180rwKW

damn right :)

the only doubt is to which 1uz
the normal 4lt v8 or the later 1997 - 2000 4lt vvti v8

YellowIS - April 24, 2007 01:27 AM (GMT)
In 1998 the JZZ31 and UZZ30 models received a 5-speed automatic and variable valve timing (VVTi) engines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soarer

The first dyno chart is for a 1991 UZZ31 :) But he is using a W58 5speed manual.
The last chart however is for an auto with a revised intake and exhaust and it gets 175rwKw after just being chipped.I'm really hoping that Mos who is doing the 1uz vvti conversion dyno's his IS so we can see what figures he gets once the install is complete.
