The earlier model IS300's must have had different features, or the one model?
As far as I am aware when the IS300 was first introduced to the market there were a limited number of options such as Satnav and the usual seat/fabric/paint protection options.
My IS300 which is badged a 01 came with full leather and Im sure it has VSC as when the car gets sideways you can feel the car straighten out automatically and you get the alarm noise from the dash as standard.

early IS300 only had one model and sat nav as the only factory option

yeah, i have full leather and VSC. no sat nav or hundered spoke rims
