nice rims.... would look good in some 19"
Scoope - April 22, 2007 05:24 AM (GMT)
Yeah, they look nice and I'm not usually a fan of 5 spokes. I wouldn't go more than 18" personally.
Mine came with a set of 16" Enkei NT03s

ive always loved the 5 spoke look. thought they were always the most classy. these are mine in 19"s. i like the black and stainless lip on the enkei's though. nice touch of class.

there is a wheel model called hotswap... for chromies...they look o.k.

Go 19's if you can get the right offset. They fill the arches REAL nice :D
Ride in my car IMPROVED going from 17's with Potenza GIII's to 19's with Toyos.

dam those KOYAS are nice .... ;)
man - ive been contemplating on getting mine black for over 12 months now... lazy ass.
on topic - those enkies are "just" ok. kina too busy for my liking. 19s would be a nice size. 18s would be better ! 17s if you full-on JDM'ing your car.
the new KONIG hotswap is also a nice wheel. Ozzy stocks them as well. Interchangeable spoke panels for ya mood.

Nick the LS5's are +35 offset, and the tyres 235-35 x 19. Sportivo springs only lowered the rear by 5mm from Altezza stock - different story for IS200's!
I already had enough dramas with the Legana lip biting things at the front and the muffler scraping at the back, so didn't want to go lower. Had to roll the inner lip on the rear arches to get clearance; fronts get just a tiny bit of tyre rub on the plastic inner guard at about half lock.
Just a word of caution if you roll the lip on those rear guards - the paint is thick and it just breaks and flakes off. Need to have the Duplicolour handy!!!

Shit a +35 offset is low!!!
You obviously must be running a 225's all round to get away with that???
Im keen on a set of 19's that are 8.5" at teh front with a +42 offset, and 9" at the rear with a +38 offset.
If your getting away with a +35 all round then perhaps I should get away with this setup!

Yup, +35 is low.
Wheels are 8" tho', and tyres are definitely 235's, not 225's.
I would be surprised if you can go 19x9" wide rears with +38 given the stock 17's have +45 offset. Have a bit more of a hunt thru the old threads under this topic - I'm sure there are some experiences on your combo shared somewhere in there.

they probably won't fit unless you roll your guards
if you're getting 19's aim for 8" wide and a +42-45 offset to be safe. Anything else will be risky if you're lowering it
