I am selling my beloved 2001 Lexus IS300 to move onto a new project. A lot has happened in my life over the past few years, and I have decided to 'sieze the moment' and live the dream and buy a R34 GTR. It has been a great car that is reliable cheap to maintain and very comfortable yet I have built it to handle quite well for a car that is so comfortable.

As most of you will know I am extremely fussy and waited 8 months for the right black onyx IS300 to pop up with the rare ivory interior (99% of BO IS300 seem to come with black leather). I purchased this car back in May 07 for $34500 and have spent just under $30K on high end modifications that were all professionally installed (only have just realised now how much I have spent on the car after adding everything up!)

Being a top of the line model it has heated seats, 8 airbags, ESC, trac
control, HID (self levelling & auto headlights) etc etc

It has 125k kays and has full Lexus service up until 90k kays when I
purchased the car. I have serviced it myself since then always using
Castrol Edge 5W-30 and TRD filters. 125k on a well maintained lexus is
nothing, the lexus co motto is to engineer all their vehicles to drive like
new even after 300k kms use.

As you can see the car is in as new condition, it has never been tracked
or flogged. I have washed this car once every 1/2 weeks and polished it
using zymol polish once every 2-3 months.

Hopefully I wont need luck, but with a lot of IS300's on the market in the low to mid $20k bracket I might struggle to move mine (even though mine has been cared for and has a lot of mods)

Lol yeah I have loved skylines ever since the late 80's when my uncle had a R31 and then when jimmy & skaifey terroised bathurst with the R32.

When the IS300 first came out in Oz I couldnt afford $70k, so waited until they dropped below $40K, and now R34's have dropped from $120K to $50Kish I'm keen to move onto the next dream machine ;)

I have wanted a tuff turbo car ever since I have had my license but insurance premiums were always so high, but now I have hit 30 years of age a R34 is actually cheaper to insure then a NA-T IS300! ($1450 vs $2200)

If my IS300 sold today I would be importing this:

that still seems pretty expensive for insurance. who's that with? My IS200 2jzgte single turbo etc etc is only going to be $1100 a year insured for $40k with shannons. and Im 27

Get quote from at least 3 places (which does not have the same parent company, unlike what my friend did lol).

AA wanted $800 to insure my Altezza with stupid excess, AMI got it done for $500 with $250 excess. Max no claims bonus dispite this being the first insurance policy under my name.

I'm putting my IS300 back up for sale (currently on ebay 260972610126) this time round instead of a GTR I'm after something with more room like a Foz XT (although I wouldnt mind splurging out and purchasing a 04-06 cayenne!)

The car is all setup for someone with the time and patience to NA-T it!!

I would prefer to sell the car as is, but if in a few months time I have no luck I might consider de-modding everything and selling those items separate :)

It has been a long time since there was a newcastle ACOA cruise!! But yeh Saahil was keen to have another cruise soon also, just renovating a house, working on the bike and getting time to ride the bike is always the issue yet alone a car cruise!

I recall I went to drop them off to you a few times, but by memory you weren't home, then I dropped my bike and smashed my collarbone and in that time you moved to Sydney and I had forgotten about them sorry! haha yea alot happened over those few months mate very quickly. As I said im up randomly every now and then and I completely forgot about it myself to be honest untill a few weeks before christmas when I noticed a couple majicaly dissapered from my RS200 :| Just have a dig around for them whenever im in no rush and let me know and ill drop by :)

Seen a white is today dumped on stockies with the elegance kit at wallsend made me think of your old car!

I reckon the sways was the best mod made to the car, the steering feelback was awesome and something you notice through the tiller at the 1st corner you hit!!!

Just remmeber I have definite dibs on those wheels! If you need stock replacemets I have 5 near perfect stock wheels with 99% tread on them(the oz racing variety) and 4 IS250 wheels so take your pick lol!
