I'm going to propose it again!

Lets do a run out to wisemans ferry.

The recent classic celica cruise was awesome with great roads and a nice park with BBQ at the half way point.

The ferry is easy to get cars onto , and alot of the road on the north side has been resurfaced with wooden bridges replaced too!

Whatya think?

Matt

Harden up!

The roads have been improved 10 fold since I was out there a couple of years ago ( and they werent bad then).

If you have built a show car then dont come, if you enjoy driving , you will have a great day!

I'm easy with the date. If students are worried about exams etc, then nominate a day and we'll plan for then.

I just want to get something on the horizon for Sydney peoples!

Matt

I went recently in a track prepped evo6 and i tell you now, the roads are shit. Yes they have repaved some of it but if you plan to push the car through the roads be assured there are still front bar damaging dips and holes throughout the drive. Unless you don't care about big stone chips and random ditches that bend control arms and nip rims, go for your life, but i guess it does depend on how hard you drive around there.

I enjoy driving, and ive been on a enough rexy & evo cruises there to know that my car will definitely not survive it, well at least at the speeds they throw them.

If its a soft drive ill come but I'm not risking damage to anything.

Its all about taking appropriate equipment. A track prepped evo (or a track prepped anything) is not something that is suitable to go tearing around Aussie back roads in. The roads arent that bad, I have Tein Monoflex ( set to 00 00 this day) 40 series tyres and my car is as low as any remotely legal car, I dont recall any potholes or dips that were worth worrying about. The bridges are concrete now, and the road as a whole would be 10 times better surface than the old pacific hway, and definately better (and safer) than the royal nasho. So if you are happy with those roads then you wont have a problem out here.

You can drive as fast or as slow as you want.

Ill be driving slow to take in the scenery.

Check this out to see how its done. I would propose a different route in, but this one was ok for large groups of mixed cars.

Or any others wink.gif

How about putting up a vote for the preferred days?

When is Shane back from his holidays anyone knows?
