Hi guys, I recently purchased a set of taillights at a good price and am wanting to paint it black.

Who has done it themselves? Any guides/hints that will make it easier somewhat?

Cheers

painting it black on the internal part around the reflector or the external glass?

If u mean the external glass, i'd have a try with getting it vinyl'd smoked black, etc instead of painting it. Just in case it doesnt grow on me, i can always take it off.

But will be keen to see yours done. Keep it updated =D

I believe painting the outsides is also illegal.

Not too sure on the law and don't wanna take the risk.

Quite a few of us have painted the internal chrome reflector black. The Badger (ThunderChicken) Cody, is the man to talk to. I did mine, but Cody has got it down to a fine art :-) He does headlights aswell. It is not illegal to paint the insides. Though I'm not sure about tinting the outside.
