now that this forum will be used regularly.. we need to start writing up forum policies...

most important that we need to tackle is commercial advertisments. have you guys discussed how to work this out from nz standpoint? ill bring it up in this weeks meeting. i am keen for a per monthly fee which includes posting in the buy/sell (within guidelines) + advertising space (to be discussed also soon!)

as for now, if there is a commerical post in the buy/sell section.. ill be deleting it.

We sorted this one early on- you can only post an ad by PMing an Admin & asking him to put it up!!

The idea of ads is good. Matt & I thought a 'tax' on sales would also work, with the tax going to the club. It depends on how well the subscriptions are supported.

ok nps.

we may or may not need separate au and nz policies regarding this depending on how au wants to run it.. but im sure this is no problem.

however, i am also certain for au that we will want to incorporate commercial traders the chance to advertise banners on the forum.

i will raise this issue formally in 2 meetings time.

bear in mind keith that subscriptions are really a minimal profit margin item, so lets get as much from commerical traders as possible.

I'm right with you there!! laugh.gif

Why don't you investigate the cost of removing the Invision ad banner. Can we make a profit buying the space off them and selling it to someone else.

Check their policy on advertising on the site. they may not be keen to have commercial ads on a free server!
