Hi all
i have a idea, i can code it, host it and so forth

the idea:
Model Details

what does it do, allow altezza drivers to show off their cars, lap times, images, videos and so forth

i can custom code a site that will allow all members to put this information about their cars and then they can link it on their profiles here on the altezza club website.

i think it would just in prove the overall functionality of the club

if anyone thinks we should do this i will be happy to create it (though PHP, MySQL)

Could you have it run with an iPhone app?

well the beuty of it is i can code it so in the user management for the seperate site you would state VIP, so if VIP = true then we can display all imputs with no limits

else

limit to non VIP

and as for the iPhone app, i am thinking coding a SHAPE website or say
brower based phone site, so you can do everything through all phones that have a browser.

first off i will implement the main website for it, any suggestions on wht people would like to to see will make life easier.

and i will need one of the admins to tell me what to restrict.

the only downside is you will have to make a new account on the garage site. which will then allow you to do what ever u want.

but thats not a biggy.

so in that case ill work on a BETA version that will be available to VIP only to start of with.

so give me until sunday and i will have a pilot site for VIP to play with to get ideas and give me feeback.

update:
I have started coding the core of the Garage Site, i have set new members to ACTIVATE their account by the email they provide, once they have activated it, they can then login and start away.

but in the BETA Release 0.1 = a admin will have to set your account to login, could a admin who wants to be in charge of validations please PM me with his EMAIL Address.

i will also setup the Admin end of the site to show new SIGNUPS so then any admin with the correct permissions will be able to do it.

i have also hard coded 2 classes : Soccer Mom = Non VIP - with IMAGE
VIP Member = VIP - with image

so time to carry on

Not sure if its in totalmods but, just a suggestion, maybe split up the mods into
exterior (ie bodykits, lights) /
interior (sound systems, different speedo's)/
suspension and wheels/
engine mods

quite keen to see how this goes

good thinking but i have already adapted that to categories
so you just select your categories in the mods area of "PROFILE" then it will display them in their own categories.

what you see there is just the standard car information, without mods on it

i have added a couple of new tables that list the mods

i finished the pre draw design on the new site, and hav started working on the actuall website.

i will have a working VIP ONLY BETA in the next few days, since i will run the beta off my own server at home.

here is the start of the car view page of the site,
as you can tell i have already written the math algorithm behind the rating system, which basicly setups a marker from 1 to 5 then recalculates the total number, so if 1 user selects 3 then another user selects 3 since the top is 5 it introduces the equasion to re oreder the total number.
