Hi all,

I just got my remote key 'stolen' (the small instrument that lock/unlock doors and trunk inside the factory key with 2 buttons on the side). I still have the key shell with the key itself (no idea why only the instrument being stolen not the whole key).
Anyway, is it possible to get replacement or disable access from previous remote key? I'm thinking to install alarm as well (still deciding between AVS S5 or Dynatron D7800). Do I need the factory remote to lock/unlock the car or the alarm can replace that functionality? Thank you all.

Oh by the way how do I search in this forum the search button above which lead to Google search giving me error "403. That's an Error. Your client does not have permission to get URL..."

Note: car is Altezza Z 1998 manual, if thats make difference.

Not sure if this is the same for Altezza as IS300, but...

Yes, the system only allows for (from memory) 4 keys and if you reprogram through 4 the original one gets pushed out of the system.

No problem if you get aftermarket alarm, it can lock/unlock the door (and trunk release if you get it hooked up) with out having the original key.

Thank you GGPIS300 and 4ga,

I will try the re-programming once I can source another FOB for the Altezza (depend on the price I guess) or I will try get alarm that has function to lock/unlock and open trunk as well. Thank you.

Is it possible to replace the IS200 Key set(2 master keys+ignition barral+all the locks) into Altezza?
Do I need any other part to make the fob(transponder) working with altezza ? Do I need a new ecu ? or the keys has its own ecu somewhere in the car ?

I don't know tbh, Im not sure if it would even be possible to remove the system from an is200. you could give Nick a call at nst he will be able to tell you, but it will not be cheap. You best option by far is to install an aftermarket alarm into your altezza. It will be far cheaper. Im sure others who have IS200 would tell you the same,
