Hi everyone,
I just went to use the car and discovered a lovely gash in the left rear tyre (from god knows what) and so now I need to replace it sad.gif
I replaced the left rear one on the 2nd of June so was wondering if it is recommended to replace the pair? Or just the one with the gash.
I have Dayton 215/45R17's all round.
Thanks! happy.gif

Sorry just to confirm, Did you replace both rear tires on the 2nd of June or just the one which has a gash?

Secondly how much do you drive the car?

If the right rear is still in good condition with hardly any ware you should be able to replace just the damaged one.

I prefer to have 2 exactly the same tires in the same condition on the front.

The front is more important as they control the car. Rears are not as important to keep the same in most cases.

I replaced the one that doesn't have a gash, so not really wanting to replace it again...
It's my everyday car, but it gets a bit of a gentle thrashing tongue.gif

Just go back to your tire shop and replace it with the same brand tire you replaced it with last time.

Dont worry about the wear. In a week or two they should start wearing evenly.

Just replace the damaged one then. Just ask the guys at the Tire shop you go to for their opinion, but two months shouldn't put that much ware on a tire, especially not during winter.
