yesterday noon my power steering groan like a raging monster.. so i
stop aside and open the hood.. a spill of oil on top of the PS
reservoir and a black hose in front of the pulley vibrate.. so i went
home.. i checked again this morning, the sound gone like nothing
happened.. so what do you think? yeah i checked and search the
forum already..
1. is it the bearing gone into the pulley?
2. is it my PS pump dying?
3. should i reconditioned or get a new one?
4. or just replace the fluid since its black already? aint see no
leaking.. the level fluid is fine though..
thanks..

QUOTE
a spill of oil on top of the PS reservoir

I don't know, but when a friend's Camry played up in the power steering there was a lot of noise and oil sprayed out all over the place when I took the top of the reservoir off.

The garage said some valve was broken and they wanted about $1500 to fix it, (a car not worth $1000..) so we topped it up with oil and I don't think they've ever done anything about it since.

Over on TezzaWorld P/S pumps going seems pretty common. I'd just try some fresh oil, maybe some moreys/lucus conditioner too

I think I'm in this boat too...
Noticed having to turn the steering wheel further in the last couple of day's and 1.5 cm of fluid gone in the PS top up...

Keeping an eye on it to make sure theres no leaks...

Wont affect how much you have to turn just how hard it is to turn.
