Yep- but I doubt it. Check the gearstick for vibration in the other gears and what revs it happens at, then check the universal joints in the driveshaft.

It could be a rim but they should have balanced the tyre when they fitted it, and it shakes the body more than just the gearstick.

Got a spelling checker?? Something you should shout yourself for Xmas..

Might be a bit thick for the gear box, it's primarily designed for dog boxes. Just stick with MT-90 75w90 in there & 75/80w-140 in the diff.

Gear sticks vibrate in most RWD cars, but it could be a worn mount if yours is excessive.

If you want to use Redline Oils, use the following Redline Partnumbers:

6MT Trans - 75W90
58504 - SuperLight ShockProof Gear Oil - quart

Diff - 80W140 GL-5
58104 - 80W140 GL-5 Gear Oil - quart

If its when you cruise with your foot just lifted off then its probably part of the 3000rpm rumble from the dual-mass flywheel. It rumbles through the whole car when slowing down from 3000 to 2800rpm on flat or slightly downhill roads.

Solid flywheels accentuate the rumble even more, very common with solid flywheels (seems to be more than the dual mass option!)

Lightweight Flywheels, & the 3000rpm rumble
