Just found out today (after alfred from speedfactory popped by) is that the gita wagon uses a "W16W" bulb for a reverse light instead of a 7440 bulb (which I believe is also known as a T20 bulb)
So far results on google show the more common name for the "W16W" bulb as "921" <edit> update: turns out they are also the "T15" bulb |

12V1.4W just says the voltage and the wattage of the light and not the size...... although it might be a T5?

For the rear brake lamps, you will need T20 fitment. These are the "large" wedge bulbs.
T10 are the smaller wedge bulbs used in the indicators, front parking and number plate lamps. T15 are larger than T10s. I believe we don't use T15s in our cars. -------------------- |

Hi,
Sorry, What I was meant to ask was what we use for the rear center (spoiler) tail brake light. I unscrewed the housing from the rear spoiler tail and it looks some what like LED lights but as a long bar on a chipset. I can't replace this with bulbs.. guess I would need a completely new tail unit? |

The individual spoiler LEDs are not meant to be replaceable - but rather as a complete unit. It is probably possible to solder in a replacement onto the circuit board.

FYI, 2002 model IS200 does have H3 bulbs for front fog lights and not HB4 as mentioned in the chart. (should probably fix this in the original message)

Depends on the month in 2002. I believe there was a change over in the front fog lamp bulbs.

Mines late 2002 (Aug) I think. So this must have been the change over. (I went and bought HB4's and then found out they were H3's)

Hi, Sorry to be a pain, but as I'm upgrading all my front lights, I've got high, low, fogs sorted, whoever when you turn your lights to the first slot, there is a small light that comes on (in the low beam reflector area). What is this bulb? This is the only light that I have thats still a yellow-ish colour

That's the parking lamps. They are T10 wdge bulbs. Go LED for these
Same type as the side indicators and rear number plate lamp. -------------------- |

Thanks Stephen, your a legend. Any recommendations on the LED.
The SMD's won't look good as the globe is visible. THere are other LEDs e.g: http://cgi.ebay.com/2-X-T10-194-168-501-Wh...=item1e592ce544 What do you think of these? |

Those look like standard LEDs inside. Don't think they would be bright enough.
I'm using PIAA LEDs for the front parkers. I used generic ones before and they did not last - they started to flash when they failed -------------------- |
