Just went for a walk along K'Road in Auckland....

Corner of K'Road and Queen Street ...

Lexus IS200 (going from Upper to lower Queen)
- DRIFTX sign written, with blue side graphics, Veilside kit and C2 (?) Carbon Fibre wing.
- silver car, lowered, new rims, personalised plate ...

Lexus IS 200 (going from K'Road to Lower Queen)
- black, new rims, lowered, plate: 02 11 20 (I think ... or something like that)

"Team Altezza" stickers on the back??

They are Asian kids who are very keen and have some great machinery! Half a dozen of them turned up to our Queen St cruise last year.

I see more Altezzas nowadays then my mum's 97 Honda Accord!!

To make myself feel better, I say to myself, "The altezza is a great car, thats why everyone's got one.."

Maybe I should trade it in for something else...? sad.gif

arghh

We paid $38,000 for ours with 36ks on the clock.. That was back in 2001 or 2002..

I remember agessssss ago, there was a white IS200 around the Howick area, must have been 99 or so. Lowered with Momo mags. Was that your mate?

I bought mine last year for $19 000 ...

I drive Bucklands Beach - Pkaurnga - Motorway - Khyber Pass - Newton (I park under the 2 billboards by the overpass on Newton Rd - toot if you see me) and back each day. I've never counted by I'd guess I'd easily see 5+ a day ... some days it does feel like every second car is one!!

lucky you sell your car fast aye...

its hard to sell an altezza now, even if you have some basic mods like coil overs and exhaust and stuff..

but i guess the price drop should stop by now other wise the price of our car will catch up the BZ-R Levin... i guess the car dealers won't be stupid enough to let this happen

Saw this today at NorthRidge Plaza in Albany.
Intercooler and bodykit fully got my attention, anyone know who this might be? Or is he/she in the club? And yes it is a turbo/supercharged RS200.
(picture taken from my phone again, bad quality sorry)
