Okay Sydneysiders - let's get this show on the road..

*cue cheesy music*

That's right, car fans, we're going to the movies. Simply choose your preferred destination, and we are away!

AT THE CAR WASH!
But first up, you need to get your ride blinging and ready for it's trip to the movies. What better way, than a professional car wash by the boys from Elite Car Care? Brian and Shannon will be detailing Altezza Club Cars all day on Saturday, ready for the big night. And they will be doing it for a special club price: $25.00!!!

Starts @ 9:30AM
Venue: Unit 2,
618 Great Western Highway,
Girraween

LET'S DO IT, BROADWAY STYLE!
Then, it's off to the movies.
The drive in theatres are a wonderful way to relive those glory days of yesteryear, in the style and comfort of your own motor vehicle. Enjoy a hamburger and popcorn while you take in two, yes TWO new release movies on the big outdoor screen!

UPDATE:
There will now be a BBQ and a raffle of free stuff on the night.
Bring $5.00 for each!

- Location: Blacktown Drive-In's: Cricketer's Arms, Prospect. (Literally next to the M4 Motorway). Use either Blacktown Rd. or Reservoir Rd. exits (head towards Prospect).

- Gates open @ 7:30pm - First Movie starts at 8:30pm.

- Cost: $12 per person DOUBLE FEATURE, i.e. TWO movies' for the price of one!

- Which movies: Ocean's 12 (8:30) & The Grudge (1030) on Field one. National Treasure (8:30) & Hero (10:30) on Field Two.

- Food/Dinner: We will be having a BBQ, so let us know if you will need food - so that we buy enough for you & please bring $5 to cover the cost of food & drink.

Ah, questions questions young grasshopper.

Remember, going to the drive-ins isn't about going to the movies. About's about meeting friends, and making the moves on that young dish you've been chasing!

Movies are announced the week before, and are whatever the current major releases are at the moment.

There's tonnes of room there, some people bring tables and chairs, gas cookers etc! You can also bring utes or vans which you back into your parking spot. It's all good fun!!

Okay people, take note of the updates.

We are now making this a Saturday night thang, and there will be a Club Car Wash during the day, so everyone can get blinging for the evening.
Maybe we should get the Queer Eye gang down to give us all makeovers as well...

Annnnywaaayyyy, times and location for the car wash to follow, just watch the top of this thread. Closely!

A little lacklustre with the response guys, come on!!

There will be actual real females coming! Some who like cars even! Not to mention, Dave Power, seasoned Drive In Professional from the Clio Sport Club, is going to come along equipped with BBQ tables chairs etc!!!

http://www.drive-insdownunder.com.au/austr...w_blacktown.htm

Hero, National Treasure and The Grudge.

Horror is traditional Drive In fodder, of course! National Treasure is okay, saw it recently. And most of us have seen Hero, right? A visual masterpiece, i think it is on both screens, but whichever screen it is playing on, we should definitely be there.

Car wash details will be posted tomorrow (Wednesday)

CAR WASH DETAILS:

Those of you who would like to have you car washed, cleaned inside and out and 'scented' please let me know ASAP. ALL OF YOU are no doubt coming to the BBQ, raffle drawing movie watching extravaganza that will be the drive ins on Saturday night. So we will need everyone's 'ride' to be 'blinging to the max' so we be 'lookin tight' for 'all da brothers in da hood'... or something to that effect.

Details for car wash:

Starts @ 9:30AM

Venue: Unit 2,
618 Great Western Highway,
Girraween

Please PM or email me to note your attendance at the car wash, and an approximate arrival time.

Looks like u guys in sydney are having a lot of fun biggrin.gif

I have been to Drive-In movie once before. I am just wondering whether the antenna clips provided in the Drive-in movie theatre will work for IS's plastic antezza?? Or is there a new technology now?

How about those cars with antenna embedded in the rear windows?
