Do I Dare?

From my five book fantasy series Of Atlantis, book one due out this fall

Do I have the right to dabble into things, I'm not sure about?
I hope I'm not biting off more than I can chew
Something I have never tried before, something I am going to try, in which I have my doubts
This thing I must do, to bring a smile to those I love, I hate seeing them be sad and blue.

The Rite of Resurrection, will bring forth those they so loved and cared for
The ladies, they lost in Atlantis, it is my intention, to bring them back, from their watery graves
Those that raised me, I want to see them happy, to the Supreme Being, this I implore
I have over heard my family saying, they wish this could happen, this is something they desperately crave

For all the love and compassion they have shown me, I am drawn to do this for them
This one thing would make them happy beyond belief
But do I dare mess with things, from which evil could possibly stem?
Each and every day, I see their pain, I just want to give them some relief.

They have always tried to conceal their hurt and pain from me
Never wanting me to see the intense hurt they try their best to hide
Never wanting me to know of their painfil pleas
But in their eyes, the windows to the soul, I see that pain resides.

So, I will take it upon myself, to surprise them, and then I can see a real smile
One not forced, for my benefit, one especially for me
I am sure in the long run, they will thank me, for trying to bring forth a true smile
They may scold me in the beginning, but in the end, they will thank me, you will see.
