FORKS HIGH SCHOOL the high school sits just off the highway and so for some of the students the phrase ‘highway to hell’ can be literally applied to them. built out of maroon colored bricks the school was styled in such a fashion that if there was no sign declaring it to be ‘forks high school’ one would think that it was a string of family homes. trees and shrubbery cover the entrance so well that the sizable campus appears to be small, just like its student body.

THE MEADOW deep in the forest lies a hidden meadow that few know of and even fewer know how to get to, namely the ‘stupid lamb’ and the ‘sick masochistic lion’. filled with wildflowers and soft grass, there is something majestic about it all, especially when the sunlight finds its way through the canopy of surrounding trees. a stream runs somewhere nearby lending its soothing sounds to the clearing.

THE WOODS & FOREST a thick dirt trail winds through the trees and shrubbery in the woods which are located within sight of the police chief’s home. unless you know the area well its quite easy to get lost amongst the tall trees if you choose to forgo the path. a wide variety of animal life populate the woods and can often be found scurrying about in the day time and are generally not a threat to humans, but unfortunately they aren’t the only creatures you can stumble upon...

DOWNTOWN the downtown area is a quaint little part of the small rainy town with a smattering of businesses, restaurants and shops such as the grocery store and gas station for the locals to purchase their essentials. entertainment comes in the form of a public library, park and a bowling alley. also located here is the police and fire station though the latter doesn’t get to see as much use considering how often it pours in forks.

THE FIELDS there are a lot of empty land in and around forks, some better hidden than others, that are ideal for games of baseball or football...both human and supernatural style. for the more troublesome citizens of the small town the larger fields can also be turned into a race track. just hope the police don’t make an appearance because in a town this small they probably know your parents personally.

THE PARK in such a small town there really isn’t much for the kids and teens to do and so many simply just hang around the park talking after school though come weekend it’s the children and their parents who dominate this area. the park offers a set of four swings, two slides, a fake wheel, monkey bars and a few bars for those flexible kids to twist around on. several benches can be found nearby for parents to sit and wait on. there are also a few trees to sit under...or climb.

CALAWAH RIVER the calawah is the part of the quillayute river system which runs closest to forks. it is a popular spot for fishing, particularly in the winter when the steelhead trout beginning swimming up, though some of the youths of the town simply like to hang out in the area. on the weekends, usually saturdays, one can almost always find the police chief down here.

FORKS GENERAL HOSPITAL like every other hospital forks general maintains an extremely sterile environment. although it isn’t the largest hospital in the world the equipment is up to date and is capable of performing most tests and procedures. with the absence of dr. carlisle cullen the staff have taken a bit of a hit but are still quite effective and friendly. rumor is that the good doctor is coming back soon however.

FORKS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT bordered by the highway and one mile away from the southern end of forks the municipal airport has six aircrafts consisting of three planes and three helicopters and a few hangars open for rental at a monthly fee if you happen to own a small personal plane and need a place to keep it. commercial flights don’t land here outside of emergencies as there is only one runway.

NEWTON'S OLYMPIC OUTFITTERS located in the north part of time this fine forks establishment is a family owned and operated sports equipment store, most of the supplies here are geared towards hikers and campers because of the nearby forest in woods, but you can also find the more general gear for regular school yard sports such as football and basketball in stock as well. recently business has dropped a little due to the sightings of giant animals in near the local trails.

FIRST BEACH a breathtaking mile long crescent shaped beach. the shore is capped white by the thin lining of sand but stone transform into the stones which outlines the majority of the beach. from afar the stones look as though they’re all gray, much like the waters here even in the sunlight, but if you get close enough you’ll realize that the stones are actually made up of many different colors. trunks of fallen trees from the nearby forest have been bleached white and provide excellent seating arrangements. shallow pools of water teem with life on one side of the beach, if you feel up for venturing through a small part of the forest first.

THE RESERVATION they may be secluded from most of the outside world and so do not have the big brand name stores selling their china imported wares here but the reservation does have a few food and clothing shops for those who don't wish to drive into other towns to do their shopping. the locals can often be found enjoying the fresh air out on the streets and are generally friendly. a few of the teens do seem to be rather secretive these days though and often only stop long enough for a short greeting before making a beeline for the forest.

THE CLIFFS jutting out like a knife into the ocean the cliffs offer two points to jump off from, the very top or the much safer distance a few hundred yards down where a natural path cuts through the side of the cliff to a fair sized ledge. most people tend to dive off the lower point on their first attempts before trying to migrate up to the top, if ever. others choose to simply watch because if the danger of jumping off giant cliff isn’t enough to scare you, the rocks waiting on the bottom might.

THE FOREST the forest surrounds much of the reservation and extends all the way from the beach to forks. many animals, both large and small, call this area home...this includes the pack of rapidly growing werewolves. however, unlike the rest of the animals in the forest the wolves are not allowed to pass a certain invisible point due to a treated drafted up with the cullens generations ago.

LA PUSH HIGH SCHOOL if the student body of forks high school is considered small considered to the rest of the united states then la push would be considered tiny. everyone in this school knows everyone else and not only have they grown up with eachother but so have their parents, grandparents and so far on back it would make your head dizzy. the school year here is on a slightly different schedule than the nearby forks high, and unfortunately with such a small number of students there are no official school teams.

RESIDENCES no the citizens in la push do not live in indian tents anymore but they do live in charming little wooden cabins of various sizes on or nearby the reservation.

QUILLAYUTE RIVER the quillayute river was and is the traditional center of the tribe and part of the river adjoins to the south side of the reservation before flowing to the ocean. two or three miles away from the mouth of the body of water is an ideal place for tourists to picnic and spend the day, or perhaps pull out the ol’ camping tent and spend a couple of nights. there is also a trail which leads from the tourist hotspot to a strip of wilderness for the adventurous hiker.

THE LANDING MALL since it’s the only proper shopping center in its area the landing mall is almost always buzzing with activity, especially on the weekends, from both residents of port angeles and the smaller neighboring towns. the mall is close to the pier and boasts many boutiques and clothing stores for both teens and adults alike. there is also a small food court inside that consists of both restaurants and fast food stands for the hungry shoppers on the go to grab a bite to eat if they don’t feel like sitting down for too long.

LA BELLA ITALIA located near the pier this restaurant serves traditional Italian dishes cooked with fresh seafood and locally grown organic vegetables. if you wish to get a more private table for you and your loved away from the center of the room then just simply slip the hostess a bill and she’ll gladly take you to one of the booths closer to the back.

LINCOLN THEATERS built back in during the 1920s the theater once housed more than a thousand patrons but as time wore on the decades took its toll and so the theater was re-renovated in the 1980s. never fear however, history hasn't been totally erased with the new face lift because the owners opted to keep the original sign and maintained a classical feel to the two screen theater inside as well.

PEAKS PUB beer on tap and games like table top billiard, darts and video games make this place a central hub of activity for men during the nights. the smell of smoke that isn't necessarily just tobacco clings heavily to the air in unhealthy amounts here, but then that's to be expected in an establishment like this where the patrons can be...questionable.

CITY PIER AND HARBOR stands, shops and an arcade wrap around the pier that leads down to the harbor where you can rent a space for your boat if you happen to have one or rent a small vessel out for a couple of days. a ferry service is also offered to get you from port angeles to one of the neighboring cities. ships of all shapes and sizes sail in and out of these waters at all times so needless to say an old lighthouse is located on the far side of port to guide those ships at night.

MCDONALD'S who in the world doesn't recognize the golden arches? just a little way down from the pub sits one of america's biggest fast food chains. they're open until ridiculously late hours of the night for those night owls with little change in their pockets and places to be.

BUSHWACKER you wouldn't know it from the name but bushwacker is an award winning steak and seafood restaurant. located near the harbor the food here is a bit expensive but well worth the price. the patrons here get a full view of the waters as they enjoy their food and despite their specialty being their steak they're also vegetarian friendly, because really what successful restaurant isn't these days?

INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT while only one main street separates the industrial district from the rest of port angeles the change in the atmosphere is visibly noticeable. during the afternoon on weekdays this area is bustling with hectic energy but once those shifts end and the weekend comes around its a variable ghost town. questionable men make this place their hunting grounds at the end of the week.

STREETS OF SEATTLE despite the quite populated city of seattle, the streets are not as busy, rowdy and claustrophobic as that of new york city or any other big urban jungle. much like san francisco, seattle is quite hilly, with vast sidewalks to accompany your walking leisure. you'll also literally find at least two coffee shops per block.

VOLTERRA, ITALY the current vampire 'royalty' and their guard have made this city their base for centuries. unbeknown to the human citizens of volterra there is an entire underground catacomb of passageways and rooms which the volturi use to travel during the daytime when the sun is up. despite the presence of highly dangerous and talented vampires being concentrated here more than any other city in the world, volterra is also the safest place to live without fear of becoming food. tourists and whomever are brought in for a special tour however...are an entirely different story.

PHOENIX, ARIZONA it's all too easy to get lost in a city of this magnitude, both in size and population, and thanks to how much sunlight the city is constantly bathed in its a wonderful spot for human tourists, especially around basketball season, but vampires rarely venture here, at least not in the daytime...unless of course they're trying to protect a beloved human from an obsessive tracker.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA need a job? apparently jacksonville is the third best place in the united states to relocate if you're looking for one. it's not even a horrible deal to move here either. it's sunny, it's by the beach and it is the largest city in florida so you can be guaranteed that there is always something to do. as with phoenix vampires might not find the city their ideal place to live because of the constant sunshine, but humans sure love it.
