RULES & REGULATIONS

please register with a first and last name in CAPSLOCK. don't register with a
ridiculous screen name... although i think we all know not to do that by now.
if you register without caps or something, don't sweat it. just let a staff memb-
er know and we'll be glad to fix it up for you.
.002 APPLICATIONS
once registered, you have FIVE days to post a completed application. please
remember to post in the appropriate forum, depending on the completeness
of your application.
.003 CHARACTER LIMIT
there is no limit to the amount of characters that you are allowed to have. we
do, however, ask you to take your activity into account when you consider yo-
ur second, third, etc character. for example, if you have ten different jobs and
are a full time student on top of that, you probably won't have the time to have
seventeen different characters 'active' on LF. "active" in this site is defined as
being able to post in an actual in-character thread (excluding instant messagi-
ng, phone conversations, notes, etc) at least once a week. when you decide to
take up another character, please keep in mind the gender and faction ratios.
.004 CHARACTER PORTRAYALS
for the sake of the admins not blowing her head off, never ever use teeny boppers for
portrayals. disney channel? not okay for banned play-bys, please check the face claim
thread. if you have a question regarding this, please feel free to contact us... but
don't argue with us! you won't be able to change our minds. along on this note,
please, don't make mary sues or gary stus. not even their long lost relatives. this also
means that you can't use hayden panettiere (who, by the way, is banned so shouldn't
even be considered in the first place) to portray a cheerleader, or dane cook as a
goofy comedian. you get my drift? in other words? don't type cast. be original!
.005 BOARD RATING
this board is unrated, and that means that anything and everything goes. if you're
thirteen or under, you shouldn't even be on invisionfree; that's invisionfree laws,
not ours. if you twitch every time something like sex, drugs (and rock and roll) and
violence happens, or is even mildly referred to, this may not be the place for you.
we just want to make this as real as we possibly can, i mean, whether we like it or
not, LIFE is unrated! you gotta suck it up and deal, yo! but well, with that said, don't
abuse this board as a place to get off. isn't there a site called like, porntube or your-
mom'stube or something where you can get all your wankin' material for free? yeah,
use that. not us.
.006 ROLEPLAYING
i trust that all of you actually know how to role play, but to just reiterate what
you should expect in an advanced board, i'ma be obnoxious now. the minimum
required per post is around 450 words. i know it's a world where quality > quan-
tity, but come on, we're way past the place of petty one liners. and really? i've
learnt that the more you push yourself that way, the more you're going to grow
as a writer. 450 words really isn't that much either. it's around two to three
nicely detailed paragraphs. and also, when you're posting, be courteous! it would
kind of blow to put your time and effort into a detailed eight paragraph post, on-
ly to get a puny two paragraph post back. reflect and react! also, per usual, use
grammar and spell-check before you post a post... that's why microsoft word
should be your best friend! don't god-mod; that's simple enough i hope... and use
past-tense and third person in your posts, please, although you're allowed to make
your applications in first person. lastly, please, please discuss things with the person
your character wants to thread with before you just randomly make a post tagging
them in it. it's a common thing called manners, sonny.
.007 ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE!
if you're having a bad day, don't lash out on us. save the drama for yo' mama,
you dig? if you're having trouble with a member on the board, then take it up
to private messages; no need to start a fight in the cbox. if it gets out of hand,
talk to a staff member about it and we'll play babysitter for you. keep it peace-
ful, and spread the love!
.008 RANDOM SWEET NOTHINGS
never ever advertise on the cbox. that means you can't have your name linked
to one of your boards or whatever. also, for graphics, keep the avatar to a max
of 200 x 200. use common sense; no titties, no penises, no bare asses. who knows
what mexican ferret can get excited out there? also, if you make your plot image
or signature too wide, we'll tell you. screen stretch makes me want to hurt babies.
with bat sporks. uh-huh. otherwise, though, have fun!!!
