I've given this a lot of thought also. But I still haven't seen a lot of absorption in actual battles, so I'm okay with keeping the cost low.
Where you will see price jumps is when I actually start taking damage away. I plan on doing some armor today for 1000 (maybe one of yours) with permanent +1 damage reduction, plus a 10% chance to block all other damage.
Anyone who fights this character would need at least a permanent +1 sword to do damage. That's why Blades of the Tarkatan will be half the price of the new armor.
I'm still working all of this out in my head, and I need for you guys to playtest the stuff in battle. I suppose I could dish out a few extra dollars to you...
