The sale has just been approved by a Judge, and by the looks of it, Warner now owns most of the properties associated with Midway, most importantly Mortal Kombat. However, a few things weren't included, like Midway Newcastle(ex-Test Drive guys) and Midway San Diego(TNA Impact), along with some old sports franchises.

If this is for the better or the worse, at least in terms of quality, hopefully we'll know soon.

Hopefully that means, no more lame release date non-sense. Releasing the un-tested game and giving excuse of 'We had such and such planned, but ran out of time' bul*****. The broken engine problem could get fixed, and possibly, no more Tanya, sad.gif Who was the reason for my purchase of any recent MK games.

Well, a lot of problems did go away in MKvsDCU, if they keep using the same engine, the next one should be awesome. As for lame release date nonsense, I'd rather have them postpone the release date if it makes the game better and even if the old games had a few problems, the PS2 games weren't bad games.

Note, WB eventually bought Midway for 49 million, not 33 million. Midway closed the Midway HQ in Chicago, but this doesn't affect the Chicago game studio(MK, among others), since they're in another building.
