Title: NAMC stands for...
Description: (yes, I know I recycled this post)

cliffette - November 16, 2004 10:23 AM (GMT)
Not Another Modding Community.

And it really isn't. This is just so that my little, randomised, self-hosted mods can be supported and bug-reported, just like the rest of the grown up mods out there.

And yes, there are advertisements and this isn't self-hosted because I'm cheap.

Enjoy!

PS - I moved boards because this one is skinnable. And much faster as well.

PPS - Because I am feeling guilty that more people are signing onto this board, possibly under the illusion that they may access more boards by doing so, I will now state that this is not the case. ie There are no extra boards except my super secret one that only I can access but that's not the point of this PPS.

Would you like to ban me now and get it out of the way?

Or, no, wait... then it would be like a mod community!

cliffette - November 17, 2004 07:28 PM (GMT)
You are far, far too proud of your banished status. Therefore, I REFUSE to ban you.

(I could always just put you in the "Anomen-Friendly" group as punishment for misbehaviour. :))

Guest - November 17, 2004 07:38 PM (GMT)
I believe Kelsey, the Obscene Phone Caller, said it best.

"Hurt me. Hurt me!"

jcompton - November 17, 2004 07:39 PM (GMT)
That was me.

cliffette - November 17, 2004 07:50 PM (GMT)
You asked for it. :D

jcompton - November 17, 2004 08:23 PM (GMT)
Well. As long as it's just the two of us...

icelus - November 17, 2004 09:27 PM (GMT)
Party's over, you two.

JC: You are a sick freak. :)

cliffette - November 18, 2004 07:04 AM (GMT)
Abuse of admin powers. That's what it's all about. :)

Andyr - December 6, 2004 06:49 PM (GMT)
I'm glad this is not another modding community. Mod communities suck. :)

jcompton - December 13, 2004 07:51 PM (GMT)
I liked it best when it was just me and Cliffette.

Cliffette, make them go away.

cliffette - December 14, 2004 06:06 AM (GMT)
Well, I would banzor them, but as you said before, that would turn this into a community...

Besides, it was never just you and me. Not when you were thinking of Anomen. :(

(You wear those love hearts well, btw. ;))

But if you just closed it down and set it up somewhere else and didn't TELL them, then it could be our own little pocket of paradise. (Although I doubt Paradise would run Invision. But...)

One must be flexible.

That doesn't gel with my plan for modworld domination through non-community means. I want minions, minions! (note plural)

Andyr - December 17, 2004 12:54 AM (GMT)
So more of a mod tyranny than a mod community?

I guess I could be a minion, if that helps.

cliffette - December 17, 2004 06:15 AM (GMT)
You can be my right hand minion. :)

Andyr - December 19, 2004 04:11 PM (GMT)
Now I feel special. :)

Echon - December 21, 2004 10:50 AM (GMT)
I will be your bat-modder slave... if the pay is good. :)

-Echon

cliffette - December 21, 2004 11:36 AM (GMT)
Echon, you truly are stuck on this bat cave idea. :)

Maybe you could be the designated Alfred.

WolfCatBot - December 26, 2004 04:12 PM (GMT)
I joined too, I joined too. Can I join? Guesss whoooo Iiiiii ammmmmm!

cliffette - December 26, 2004 09:23 PM (GMT)
Hi WolfCat. :)
You will be my evil kitty.

WolfCatBot - December 27, 2004 05:19 PM (GMT)
Hihi, meowmeow, ok! ^_^

Western Paladin - October 11, 2005 11:51 AM (GMT)
Hey look, I registered too. I will not stop until every page on the internet has my bird of paradise avatar on it! Mwa ha ah aha ha !!1

Eral - October 17, 2005 09:28 AM (GMT)
WP, I like your bird of paradise, and I commend your spirit of cyberspace domination,
however, in every non-community there can be only one insanely obsessive controller, and I'm pretty sure that Cliffette has dibs on that position. The rest of us have to settle for subservient serf-like positions. No matter how pretty our avatars are. You will need to grovel a little bit more. Otherwise, you will get a member's group name that you probably won't enjoy.

Ah, this is a promising minion...

Also, a note to say that I am going to be away for the next month... and I'll be in Victoria, Eral, so if you see a bunch of brightly dressed, scruffy, extremely tired sciency types hanging around Melbourne (around the 6th or 7th?), it'll be us. :)

Eral - October 18, 2005 10:11 AM (GMT)
6th or 7th November? We should meet - for coffee!!
The best Italian restaurants are in Lygon St., Carlton.
The best cheap Vietnamese places are in Victoria St, Richmond and High St, Preston. Petite Saigon in Thornbury is THE best Vietnamese place in Melbourne - but it isn't exactly cheap.
Chinese - anywhere in Little Bourke St.
Greek -Lonsdale St.
Turkish/Lebanese - Sydney Rd.
Have I missed anything?

icelus - October 19, 2005 01:52 AM (GMT)
Indian.

Eral - October 20, 2005 05:57 AM (GMT)
Indian restaurants are scattered. Great one in Johnson St.
Cafe Saffron -Ivanhoe
Namaste -Bundoora
Everest -Fairfield.

cliffette - November 1, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
Hey everyone!

I'm currently in the library in Bairnesdale and wondering who's going to win the Melbourne Cup. My opinion of Gippsland is that it is pretty. Really pretty, in an English kind of way, or at least what I imagine an English kind of way would look like. You'll be glad to know that I am still keeping up with Neighbours. :)

My plans for Melbourne include:

- Looking at the trams
- Riding the free trams
- Taking photos with the trams
- Hugging a tram
- Gasping in horror at the hook turns
- Going to the little Chinese place opposite Gaylord's in China town/street/ :)
- Eating gelato.

I'll check out Petite Saigon... mmm, vietnamese food... Thanks Eral. Check your PM. :)

Also, the mosquitoes in Victoria are HUGE. HUGE HUGE HUGE.

Eral - November 6, 2005 07:39 AM (GMT)
You mean. they're little in other parts of the country? How can this be? I thought all the really bad mozzies were in Queensland?

cliffette - November 8, 2005 05:38 AM (GMT)
Mozzies elsewhere are approximately half to two thirds the size of Victorian mozzies and they're much faster. The terrible Ross River Fever-carrying ones are in Qld and they tend to bite you on the limbs rather than the face, which is where the Vic ones tend to aim.

Sydney, of course, has the least dangerous and least annoying mosquitoes. :)

Eral - November 8, 2005 06:23 AM (GMT)
This could be that the water is too toxic even for mosquitos.
I can't say I get that many mozzie bites on my face. I am currently sporting about 7 - we have a small water lily pond - but not one on the face. I begin to think you are not very good at mozzies...

cliffette - November 13, 2005 01:31 AM (GMT)
The mozzies are very good at me, unfortunately. :(

Having now tasted the difference between NSWean, Canberran, Queenslandean and Victorian water, I... have no reply to the Sydney water question. The toxicity must be the result of the burgeoning population due to our beautiful weather and city.
