ATTENTION, ATTENTION !
THIS IS PRETTY DAMN IMPORTANT BOYS & GIRLS.

alright, some of you might be aware of the incident that took place a little earlier in the week.
if not, here's the cold, hard facts and no matter what the other party has to say, this is
what happened. now, we didn't want to publicly announce what went down, nor did we ever
want to post such a thing on any of our boards but apparently the time called for it. we
are very sorry to have to post this and hope that you will understand anything you may have
seen or heard over the passed week. so here goes..

once upon a time our dean had a friend, we'll call this friend 'bob' for the sake of not actually
naming them. dean and 'bob' were close friends, he trusted this person and shared some of his
hard work with them. but 'bob' started lying to dean and making accounts under different alias'
to trick dean and myself. so as a result of this, 'bob' was deleted from this board and every
other board we had. one thing we do not tolerate is lying. lying and stealing. things
seemed to be going okay until we noticed that 'bob' was making boards similar to ours, it
only served as a minimal annoyance until just two or three days ago when the big one
happened.

upon checking on a couple of our other boards before i went to bed the other night, i found a
little advertisement on one of them (or two of them, i should say). 'bob' had made a board
that not only shared almost a complete likeness to 'Never Is Perfect' but it had a similar name,
similar concept, plot and general feel. that's right everyone, we were the victims of a thief.
instead of dealing with the fact that they'd lied to us, 'bob' had made a board that was just
like this one and then was silly enough to advertise it on our boards. i guess some
people forget that i.p's can be traced, right? silly 'bob'.

now as anyone in our position would have done, dean and i confronted 'bob' about the
likenesses (or should i say, the copy) of our board. we had a right to be pissed, this
board has been one of our favourites for one year and a half and to have it stolen is
unfair and immature. we know that roleplaying is not everything, but you guys know what
we mean about feeling hurt that someone stole from us? it's the same with a person taking
your wallet, an ipod, anything. to take something that is not yours is straight up wrong, it
doesn't matter how 'different' you have made it.

so, the entire look of the copied board is different but the plot and concept are still pretty
much the same, bar a few changes so that 'bob' could say that it wasn't the same when
dean and i did point out that he had been caught red handed. now, things have been
'sorted' out apparently, but we found that 'bob' was seeking some kind of validation
from their members. dean and i wanted to tell it to you guys straight, so you didn't hear
the liar's version of the 'truth'. this is the truth, this is what happened and we did
try to warn 'bob's' clueless members of what kind of person their admin is, because
we didn't want the same thing to happen to them.

make of this situation what you will, but know that Never Is Perfect has been around
since october 2008 and 'bob' was a member here with three characters until we got
fed up with their constant lying. dean and i apologize for you having to put up with
our bad moods, the spamming of our shoutbox with a half arsed apology and the
general lack of fun. we hope that you guys stick with us, because we do love our
members and this board, that's why we fought so hard to keep it unique and
tried to deal with the duplicate.

i would like to round this up by saying that stealing and lying is wrong and will never,
ever be tolerated here at Never Is Perfect. dean nor myself has lied in this notice, nor
did we lie in anything we said about 'bob'. something is not rude or mean
or cruel when it is in fact, the truth.
