Lawrence, Kansas.
On November 2nd, 1983 a grand total of NOTHING happened. John Winchester fell asleep in front of the TV and his wife Mary went to bed early, tired from a day of looking after their boys. Azazel never came to this family, their lives were never altered by evil. Why? Who knows. This family has no clue of the evils that could have threatened them, had things happened differently. But they didn't.
The very next day, Mary is making pancakes for little Dean, rocking Sammy on her knee as she waits for the stove to heat up. John's at the garage, working his butt off to bring home the green. To give his family all they ever want. They get it.
Dean is the wilder of the two brothers, but how could he not be? He is the oldest, after all. He has the ability to push those boundaries, whereas little bro has them already set from experience. They're both stunners, those boys, and smart, too. Blessed, really. Dean finds it easy to follow Daddy's footsteps - working on cars. He inherits his father's when he reaches the age of 16, as a gift for getting so far in life - not that it's been a hard life to lead. That '67 Impala is his pride and joy, and was a definite winner with the girls at high school.
Sam's not so wild. He spent more time in the library than the track during high school, but that didn't make him a nerd. He was a hit with the girls, almost as much as his brother. It was in the genes. He aspired to studying law, earning his keep and having a family of his own. Luck in the family's favour, Sam and Dean both got what they wanted.
Dean's got a wife, if you'll believe it. Picket fence, Impala in a garage, the whole she-bang.
Sam's pre-law, getting ready to propose to his college sweetheart, Jessica.Nothing ever happened to their family. Bad things? Evil? Never. And you know what? Never is perfect.
