`x] Broad shoulders, very muscular
`x] Sturdy build

personality:
Travis is your average, small town male. He‘s down to earth and really easy going with a laid back attitude. Always trying to keep from stressing out, Travis finds his stress relief working out in the gym for a few decent hours. With his laid back attitude, it makes him a very easy conversation with most people and he has the ability to dispell awkward moments with a light hearted joke or some kind of comment. He hates when anyone feels uncomfortable so tries to assist with that as much as he can.

He‘s also a pusher. He likes to push people to help them succeed, a trait that makes him a good trainer. Travis knows that people are normally stronger then they believe and encourages them to be better, to try harder in order to achieve success. Sometimes that can make him seem insensitive but he tries to be as encouraging as possible, though sometimes he can go overboard. Having been a leader of teams throughout his life, Travis is a true team player and believes that a team is only as strong as their weakest member so he likes to root for the under dog and help them get stronger.

Travis can be a bit of a dork. Despite his size, he‘s really a nice, funny guy. He has a very warm and caring personality which makes him almost seem like one giant teddy bear. He is responsible and very trustworthy, as he hates to leave anyone out in the cold. He’s a very determined person, and very rarely gives up on himself or anyone else. Though he has doubted himself in the past, Travis hates that feeling of not being able to do something and loves to prove to people that he’s capable of more then just what they think he is.

Travis Scott O‘Shay was born the first child and only son to Jackie and Alan O‘Shay in El Paso, Texas. From the moment he was born, he was his parents bouncing baby boy, active even for a baby. When he was just about two years old, Travis‘s parents had another child, this time it was a baby girl named Ryder and it gave Travis the chance to be an older brother. For the first few years of his life, Travis spent a lot of time working outside with his father on the farm the family owned, and enjoying every moment of spending time with his dad. He loved to help out as much as he could for a kid, and liked being outside. When he was 7 though, the family moved from El Paso to Houston for his mothers career so they left the farm that he’d loved as a young kid.

Growing up, Travis became a sports fanatic. When he was 9 he joined his first little league team and quickly became a great pitcher on his team, and stayed there until he was 12 and then got into hockey. He loved sports, and running and everything and anything that had to do with activities that got his heart racing. In his teens though, Travis got a starting position as quarterback on his high school football team and that was when he really started to shine. He was a natural at football, and loved the game. Travis was also incredibly close to his kid sister, Ryder, whom he lovingly referred to as his ‘midget’. Ever since hitting his growth spurt at 15, Travis was reaching 6 ft 2 inches and he hadn’t stopped growing yet.

When he was 18, and a senior in high school, Travis got his big break by getting a scholarship to play college football which he gladly accepted. His parents ended up moving away a few years later to Kansas for his mothers career again but he stayed back at college, continuing to pursue his dreams of playing professional football. When he was 25 though, he was playing a game and was tackled pretty hard by two guys, hurting his shoulder in the process. He ended up getting a rotator shoulder cuff tear to his throwing arm which halted his dreams of playing big time football. He had to step down as captain to his college team and he left college, severely crushed that he had to stop playing the game he loved in order for his arm to heal.

It’s been two years since then, and Travis has been working hard to get himself back into top physical shape to try to get back into the draft for the NFL. His shoulder has healed completely but since he had to take a year off to let it heal, Travis lost a lot of his physical health being on vacation. He is now working as a personal trainer, working out himself and other people and hoping that he can play football again before he is deemed too old. Travis also moved from Dallas to Lawrence Kansas in order to be closer to his family, whom he is still really close to. He also has now had a Siberian Husky he named Maya whom he‘s had for two years now, ever since his accident.

just to make it through

QUOTE
Travis paused outside the door to the locker room to his old team, inhaling a huge lungful of air to get up the courage to do what he knew he had to. Looking down at his arm, hanging uselessly in a sling that would support his seriously injured shoulder, he frowned, shifting the strap around his neck a tad to make it more comfortable. It‘d been about 3 seconds, 3 seconds that had possibly ruined his football career. Travis had never really worried about getting sacked hard enough to get hurt. Sure, bruises were a constant in the sport he loved, but a serious injury? For a guy his size? That‘d never crossed his mind.

Running his good hand through his short brown hair, Travis slowly pushed open the door, the familiar smells of his teams locker room hitting him and making him miss what he‘d had to give up even more. Even though the locker room was completely empty, he could hear the echoes of slamming lockers and rowdy calls and chats from his team members till playing in his memory. He‘d been their captain, and these guys were his friends. Travis hung his head a bit lower, letting his long legs carry him towards his coaches office and he hesitantly knocked his knuckles against the wooden door, something in his gut telling him that this would be the last time that he‘d be entering his coach‘s dwelling place for a long time.

Sucking in another large lungful of air, Travis waited for the ok to enter and poked his head into the office, steering his large frame through the doorway. “Hey Coach.” He greeted with his usual lopsided grin. Coach Turner gruffly gave him his hello back, and asked how he was…and then the big question: would he be coming back to the team with his injury soon? Travis sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “I uh…I don‘t think I‘m gonna be able to come back. Doc says this‘ll take a year to heal fully…and…I‘m not good to the team like this. I‘m just dead weight. So…I‘m stepping down.” He said finally, exhaling heavily. It took a lot for him to admit that he couldn‘t play anymore, even more to step down. Coach Turner nodded sadly. “Kid…you get that shoulder healed up and their will be a great reference waiting for you from me to any NFL drafter if you choose to stay in this sport.”

Travis was shocked, but smiled at his mentor and nodded. “Thanks Coach. I‘ll look ya up when I got both arms back in rotation.” He said, and said his goodbyes to his coach and then exited his office. If he could heal fine…then maybe he would have a shot at the NFL. Travis pondered that thought, and within a few seconds, was determined to reach that level.
