` downtown dining
UPSCALE OR FAST FOOD: the food in downtown louisville does tend to be a little more expensive, but it is definitely worth it. there is of course food for people who can't afford the really expensive cuisine, and after a long night of clubbing, white castle is your best friend.

DANCE ALL NIGHT: while the other places in town do have some decent places to play, downtown is by-far the best spot. after all, there are tons of clubs playing tons of different music. wear the right clothes and you can even get in under the age of twenty-one.

` waterfront park
BY THE RIVER: waterfront park is possibly the most popular place in all of louisville. they have several playgrounds, a great lawn, fountains, and even a few restaurants. every person who has ever lived in louisville has gone here once or twice (or more) in their life. it was the best thing the city has done for its citizens.

WORK AND EMERGENCIES: while there is a lot of fun things offered in downtown louisville, there are other serious matters. sometimes, you get sick and need to go to the hospital. sometimes, you get in trouble and need to talk to the cops. or sometimes, you realize that you have responsibilities and have to go to work. whatever it is, they are all located here.

` downtown housing
KENTUCKY TOWERS: the best place to live in downtown is kentucky towers. these apartments have a doorman, a pool, and a great view. the best part is they are within walking distance from everything in downtown. rent is a little steep though, so make sure you can afford it.

` old louisville dining
CLASSY EATING: all of the restaurants in old louisville are locally owned and operated. one happens to be one of the oldest restaurants in louisville, the dizzy whizz. no matter where you eat, you are bound to get a good meal.

FUN AND GAMES: old louisville doesn't have as much in the way of entertainment, but it does have it's fair share. there are a few bars and a great park for you to hang out in. so even if you don't have all the nightclubs of downtown, you can still find some fun.

VICTORIAN MANSIONS: housing in old louisville is pretty cheap, if you get one of the apartments. if you want one of the mansions that haven't been changed into apartment, then you're looking at quite a bit more money. this area is populated by a lot of college students, but there's a very mixed crowd all-together. think of it as louisville's own greenwich village.

HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE: whether you're still in high school or have taken the jump to college, you will probably be over in this area. the two schools, manual high school and university of louisville, are right across the street from one another.

` district dining
FAST FOOD: food around the university campus isn't exactly the best in the world, but it is pretty cheap and varied. you can get anything from taco bell to chinese within walking distance from campus, which is probably good because school food isn't the greatest.

ON CAMPUS LIVING: if you're a college student, you can choose to live on campus in one of the dormitories. however, if you aren't in college, i wouldn't recommend you trying to live here. after all, the school insists that you be a full time student to have on campus housing, and it's expensive too.

FOOD GALORE: bardstown road offers a great variety of eateries, mainly because it's such an eclectic place. with various nationalities represented in the dining, you are guaranteed to find something to appeal to your appetite.

` bardstown shopping
SPEND MONEY: shopping on bardstown road is rather eclectic. there isn't a mall in this section of town, but there are a lot of other great places to shop. everything down here believes in keeping louisville weird: meaning they are primarily locally owned.

TIME TO PARTY: the entertainment on bardstown road is always going at all hours of the night. the clubs aren't as popular as those in downtown, with the exception of pheonix hill, but it is always guaranteed to be filled with fun.

` east end shopping
THE MALLS: there are two malls in the east end of louisville and they are both the more popular malls in the city. with the two malls offering everything you could imagine, why wouldn't they be. just remember, you can't buy everything even if you do have a credit card.

` east end entertainment
FUN FOR ALL: entertainment on the east end isn't really for those who love a good party. however, there is a lot of fun things to do with children or just some friends. fun on the east end seems to be much more clean cut, just like the rest of the east end.

` east end housing
UPSCALE LIVING: no one can contest that the east end is the nicest place in louisville to live. the houses are huge and pricy, and the neighborhoods are safe. chances are, you won't live here unless you make a lot of money or come from old money. but it sure is nice to dream.

GOING SOMEWHERE: if you want to make a trip, then you will most likely leave from the airport. if you're waiting on someone to arrive, then you would probably wait for them there as well. either way, you'll be waiting.

THRILL RIDES: in the summer and early fall, six flags is always filled with people ready to take a day off. they have two theme parks with one cover. the first is the actual theme park, filled with roller coasters and other thrill rides. the second is hurricane bay, the water park. the water park has many slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. so come on out and have some fun.
