no such thing as the real world
its just a lie you have to rise above

Welcome to Louisville, Kentucky; the sixteenth largest city in the United States. Located in the middle of the country, it doesn't seem to have a lot to offer. At least not in the way of beaches. However, it does have the Kentucky Derby, Thunder over Louisville (one of the largest fireworks displays in the world), a great night life, and a great variety of people.

It also has districts. The five main ones are Downtown, Old Louisville, University of Louisville, Bardstown Road, and the East End. Sure, there are others. But they don't have the je ne sais quoi the rest of the city seems to hold.

downtown louisville
Downtown Louisville is the stretch located just along the Ohio River. The skyline that you see from almost anywhere in town (except possibly the East End) is here, along with most of the best clubs. During the day, this section of town is filled with young professionals, all trying to make it in the world. Hospitals, night clubs, a nightly block party... Downtown has it all.

old louisville
Old Louisville is allegedly double the size of Monoco and it's the third largest collection of Victorian mansions in the nation. But don't let that fool you. Most of the mansions have been renovated to provide apartments for the citizens. There is no type of person you'll find here. Sure, there are a lot of college students due to it's close proximity to campus. But there are also people from every other walk of life. Entertainment wise, there are a few bars down here and a park. The eating here is pretty good though.

university district
Unfortunately, some people in Louisville are still in school. The University District not only houses the local university (University of Louisville) but the high school as well, if you happen to still be in that part of your life. Around the University is a lot of various fast food restaurants. The housing in this area is all on campus, only for college students. But that's okay, because the university district is mainly for the students of the two schools.

bardstown road
Bardstown Road is one of the most popular places in Louisville, at least for the younger set. On one very long road is pretty much anything you could imagine. There are clubs, a morgue, tons of restaurants, stores, tattoo parlors, and all the scene kids you could even dream of. While Old Louisville is like living in Greenwich Village, visiting Bardstown Road is like visiting Greenwich Village.

the east end
The East End of Louisville is pretty much the rich section of the town. The houses and apartments here cost a fair amount of money. In fact, an extravagant amount. This is one of the safest parts of Louisville, due to the fact that not that not everyone can afford to live in this area. The malls are all down here and everyone seems to be content in this area... unless you happen to want a good club night, then you're out of your element.

welcome to the real world
You've gotten a tour of the city. Now it's time to decide if you want to move to the Ville. Once you do, you'll find friends, enemies, lovers, and maybe even happiness. After all, isn't that what living is all about?

Welcome to Louisville. Welcome to real life.
