yeah, I'm finnally putting in some side explainations. also, if there's still somthing you don't quite get and want to know, just ask me in here. (and I won't give away anything coming up either, ben >__> )

for starters, the whole "RIFT boarding thing. a RIFT board is essentially a hover skate board. RIFT is an acronym for Radio Ionic Flotation Technology. don't ask what that's sopposed to mean, because it's only sopposed to work.

about the biocores. they're humans that were geneticly engineered with Promehtious to produce massive amounts of energy, which is in turn used to power things like the cities and bases. however, not many nations know how to engineer them, which is why Xeo'narc tried to steal one in Chapter 13 - 14.

the reason that fighting in the dead zone was so hard is because the properties of the geographic area hinder the flow of energy, such as electricity, heat, and the energy from Promethious. this is why they had to use gas trucks and switch out batteries for ones that would normaly just overdo it and explode. this is also why berserkers and spirit hunters were sent to fight for the most part, because berserkers have enough excess energy to fight in a dead zone, and spirit hunters don't rely on Promethious to fight.

this bring me to another thing. the reason that Ookamishi, Kirishi, and Hebishi were able to "come back to life" was because of the unique properties of the dead zone. the fatc that their energy flow was slowed made it so that when they ran out of energy, it was only recovering at a minimal amount, causeing them to recover very slowly.

today I'll explain the differance between prostectic and robotic limbs. there IS a big differance between the two.

prostetic limbs, like the one eris has are meant to be a nearly perfect replacement for the funtions of an organic limb. they aren't intended to be used to fight with, and in terms of durability and physical strength, they aren't much stronger than a normal human's limb. also, even though it's non-organic, you can still be injured if it's damaged because you how it's melded to the organics of a person. prostect limbs connect directly to the nervous, circulitory, musclular, and skeletal systems of the body. blood flows throughout the replacment limb, which spins micro-turbines in the artificial blood vesals to provide power to the limb, which is why no batteries are required. this also helps the overall health of the body by filtering pathogens and inorganic matirials from the blood. by being directly connected to bones and muscle tissue, the prostetic is given the omptimum natural movement ability. the limb has an exact titanium replica of the missing skeleton inside of it, continuing off of the missing bones. the rest of the limb it made of rubbers, plastics, and light-weight alloys, along with artificial nerve sensors on the surface and in the joints.

robotic, or kompulsed, limbs are different in alot of ways. they are intended to mimick the natural functions of the limb while also providing the effects of weaponry or armor. no blood or other tissue transitions into the limb, and there are no nerve sensors. instead of having a fake skeleton continused from the body, the end of the limb is simply anchored to the bones that are closest. inside the kompultion is the same as a robot, made to recreate movement, but not through even remotly the same way as orgainic. it's just a system of hydrolics, actuators, and electric motars. also, as told in the story so far, robotic limbs use a self recharging battery to run. running with the proper limiters, the limb will never use up more energy than the battery can recharge in the same ammount of time, although the limiter can be disabled by the person it's attached to.

finnaly, prostectic limbs and kompulsed limbs can be compared to androids and robots, respectively. that's why some people refer to androids as "prostetic humans", and kompultions are commonly refered to as "robotic limbs". lengthly explainations I know, but I just felt like putting some science into it and setting real definitions for my story, because things like this often vary depending on the storys plot, or a show's plot too.
