WOW
You don't seem very inexperienced....light comes directly from above....I think that the lightest color has to much variation. make it a contrast better

yeah, its really basic... maybe try for something a bit more realistic, or at least give him some facial features. try to not have the lightsource right on the top either, and try hueshifting (see lesson 2). i'd say just start again with a more realistic style, you wont get far with this.

This actually was for my friends, so I was trying to go for a simple, cartoon style, since I would be printing it to show them. I just kinda realized how much my shading / palletes sucks though.

Ok P.R.O show some work XD
Also, yes it has been shaded, but we were merely talking about contrast and colour selection by hue shifting. Post some of your work and let me crit the hell out of it.

I also don't think that To be a P.R.O at the GMC is such a huge deal, unless your better than ChessmasterRiley or Carnivac and so on.

However if you were P.R.O at pixelation or pixeljoint...then Kudos for your accomplishments. But until I see some of your work I'll only see you as a cocky shit. Excuse my language:lol:

Also welcome to the forum, and I hope you visit more wink.gif and post some work.

Jim

And that's even beside the point. This post has been inactive (a.k.a. dead) for a couple of months now, and it's usually a good thing not to necro post.

Also, I don't see anyone saying that it wasn't shaded, they were discussing contrast like Jim just said.

Oh, and yeah, welcome to the forum. It'd be neat if you could post some of your work in the Complete or WIP forums.
