These are questions and answers related to the Forum (and misc.) Questions and answers for the Playr games can be found at:
Onslaught, Zilch, Other Playr Games

What exactly are mods and what do they do?
Mod can mean two things:
  1. Mods are edited versions of a game. They vary in many different ways and are made for fun. For more info check the Modding forum for Onslaught
  2. Mods, short for moderators, are the supervisors on the forum. They make sure the forum says clean of spammers and viagra.

How do you post images on this forum?
Upload your image to a image host, like Imageshack. (Use Forum 1/2 or direct link code(put between IMG tags))

How do you put images in your signature?
Click 'My Controls' (left to Inbox, under the ad). After that you click 'Edit Signature'. To get the image in, you copy the image location (so the direct link), click the IMG button on the edit signature screen, and paste the link. Then click 'Update Signature' and your picture should be in. Please be aware of the signature size limits (as stated in the Rules).

How can I find the direct link for an image?
For Firefox users: Right click on the image and press 'Copy Image Location'. The direct link to the image will then be copied to your clipboard.
For Internet Explorer users: Right click on the image and press 'Properties'. Then select and copy the URL behind 'Address:'.

What is Kongregate?
Kongregate is a game site, similar to Newgrounds.

What is the blue block under my name for and when does it change?
The colored blocks under your name is your 'level' on this forum. It goes up when you post. It has no real use.

Why isn't my post count increasing?
That is probably because you are posting in the General Chat forum in General. Your posts there do not count for your post count.

working for me. as Kioyoh advised me previously, when i couldn't use it for some reason either, you could put "http://z4.invisionfree.com/playr_forum/" in as a parameter within your search on a www search engine. Or you can post what you're looking for and one of us that can use the site's search function will try to find it for you.

I have no idea why the search function is down. It's probably an Invisionfree thing. Also, the buttons for search and so are completely gone for me, don't know about you guys?

Also, as andrettyfan suggested, you can use Google and put 'site:http://z4.invisionfree.com/playr_forum' at the start of the search, this will make you search through the forum.

The "portal," "help," "search," "members" and "calendar" buttons are all available to me.

It seems that those are only visible on IE, not Firefox?

i'd have to think it's either an OS setting that FF is clueing off of or, more likely, a setting within FF itself. Doesn't make sense that i can see & access the aforementioned buttons and you can't if it's a set feature.
