Shickwave?, anyone make headway

Hi all, I was playing aroun on sandbox, trying to find the LR-free way to beat hard ( to no avail so far ) When I had a thought about shockwave, I was thinking it had a chance of rivaling the ubernicity of the LR chain, at least up to wave 1000, after that Im not sure my back up nukes will help much. Im sure its been tested and I read a little of the your experiences with shockwave, but nothing recent. Am I beating a dead horse so to speak. On a side note, I almost had laser-chain free build for hard, I convinced if its at all possible it lies withing the cannon and rockets, I got to about level 28 or so, but..........( you know the rest, lol )

You don't need LRs...you could just sell the chain after you have enough money for a good solid nuke setup. Shockwave should work, but what you want are slowing tazers/poison gas rockets (combonly)/unchained combonly shockwaves. Those slow the creeps enough for your shockwave to have time to fire.

THanks for input, its appreciated, my first shockwave chain just finished, wave 1137 and it only had 278.789 trillion damage, I was pleased it was a very loose chain modeled after ( not exact copy of ) the how beat hard video. I used medium line, and built a rocket turret in the center, maxed it and added cannon in front to max; then which gave me sporadic burst of cluster bombs,. From there I started, my shockwave head, in upper left corner, 1 tazer to max, then the other, cannon and laser. Added cannon to my cannon and rocket in middle for nuke, and was free to build my shockwaves tail. I was afraid of failure, so I spaced tail for immediate power and filled in lasers aloing with dam ex , from there I just filled in all the space with big damage, 2 nukes ( repalced with big damage at wave 450) and thats it, freaked out 3 million dollars and closed the laptop, I dont know if it lagged to wave 1137 or just wasnt enough power, Im not sure, damage wasnt spectacular and my best LR chain to me to 1550 or so waves. When I have time Ill do it again on my desktop, and add a targeter for spillage, wave was firing every 8secs, so targeting tazers/shockwave down the lower half of the screen should handle any spillage and get me a few more dozen waves. Hmmm.
