full name;
“My full name is Xenophilius Hieronymus Lovegood. I know, it is a bit of a mouthful, but sometimes having your mouth full of things is a good thing. It can keep the little demons out.”
canon or original
Canon
nick names;
“A lot of people can’t pronounce my name, so they just call me Xeno or Philius. I don’t mind. I realize it takes a lot of work to get the human mind to accept things that are different. Eventually people will open their minds and let new things in. But for now, Xeno or Philius is fine with me.”
age;
“My mother birthed me sixteen years ago. This is one of those years of my life that everything seems to be blossoming! My hormones are raging. My brain is building. It is just wonderful!”
birthdate;
“Getting more specific with this age thing are you? Well the first time I breathed actual earth air was on July 16th, 1961. Before that I was in a whole new world full of unborn babies. But for some reason my mother picked me out of all of the others. I guess I am a lucky tyke!”
year;
“I have been in this wonderful learning environment for a little over five years now. So, I guess that means I am a “sixth” year. I would prefer if people called me a fifth and a half year though. It makes more sense.”
blood;
“Blood is an interesting subject. I still haven’t been able to figure out what its exact purpose is. Is it there to keep us hydrated? Really who knows! But supposedly wizard blood and muggle blood are different. Maybe that is where we get our magic from! But if that was the case, why do little muggles have wizard children? Maybe there is some creature that lives in our blood that gives us our magical powers. So, in that case purebloods blood actually would be far from pure. I guess I have far from pure blood!”
sexuality;
“Sex is a beautiful thing isn’t it? Two people coming together to make one being. And if it is with a man and a woman, a child can be created. But if it is with two people of the same gender it is still beautiful. So, sexuality is a strange question.”

physical features;
Oh the beauty of the sixties. Too bad Xeno didn’t realize that the disco era had already begun! He was still in the era of making your own clothes, not wearing leather, and not caring if you wore shoes or not. His clothes were often covered in loose dirt because of his various experiments. And well, a lot of the time the dirt didn’t really come out of the clothes, so he didn’t care. He didn’t go out of his way to get dirt on his shirts though…it just happened to appear like some strange demon. He needed to get into studying that. His pants were usually covered in pockets, that way he could store his discoveries! There was no use for a fanny pack! It wasn’t the 80s! And to top off his cargos, they were usually a tan color…and ripped. He tends to have things stuffed in his pockets,
Xeno knows how to clean up when he needs to though. He actually has a few sets of dress robes tucked back in his closet. Of course, since Xeno is a Lovegood, his dress robes aren’t like most peoples. His are bright colors, with many frills! The only time he wears them is at parties, so why shouldn’t he be the life of a party? Maybe because he is antisocial…but at least he stands out when he is standing against the wall! But even when he dresses up, he doesn’t really bother making the rest of himself look put together.
His hair isn’t that long, but it still manages to dangle into his eyes. He doesn’t bother combing it in the morning, and instead just towels it dry. It doesn’t spike up usually, but instead falls loosely against his head. His hair color can’t really be described in one word. The lower layers are a dark brown color, where the upper layer is a light blonde color. It is a nice mix of his parents hair colors. What tends to stick out is the blonde color though. Because his hair is like this it gives it a naturally greasy look. He isn’t one to not take a shower daily. He has always believed in cleanliness of the body…clothes were another issue.
Ever since Xeno got the ability to grow facial hair, he has always had a beard on his face. He figures it is a right of manhood…or it is just keeping some creature from penetrating his cheekbones through skin. Luckily for everyone else that has to look at him, he keeps his beard nicely trimmed. The hair doesn’t get past a half an inch off of his face, and it never covers his lips. The hair is a dark brown color, which contrasts slightly with his blonde hair. But hell, his eyebrows are the same brown color!
His eyes are a dull blue color most of the time during the day. They have flecks of white and black in the blue, causing his eyes to look different in certain lights. The dull blue tends to brighten when Xeno is in a good mood. Since he is thinking most of the time, Xeno’s eyes are usually somewhat narrowed, but not in an angry way. It just looks as if he is concentrating most of the time. As a result of this, he sometimes gives off a cross-eyed appearance. His eyes lay pretty deep in his face, but are still nice and even.
Smack dab between his eyes is his beautiful nose…that is if you could call a nose beautiful. He has never been hit hard enough in the nose to have it broken, so it doesn’t have any strange bumps or anything like that on it. His nose is slightly short, but fits his face well. It is very rounded at the tip, and almost looks as if a ball was placed on it. His nostrils are a bit big for his nose, but it makes it so he can smell things better. It is amazing what you can get from just smelling something!
His lips are very thin; almost thin enough that you can’t see them. They are usually pursed together when he is thinking, which is most of the time. But, when he smiles he exposes his white teeth, which are almost perfectly straight. He was lucky enough that his parents got rid of his buckteeth when he was a young boy, so nobody could really make fun of him. But the Lovegoods are one for having imperfection in the family, because that is natural, just no buck teeth. So they left all of the other crooked teeth as they were, and figured he would fit in just fine like that.
The shape of Xeno’s head is probably the only thing that can be considered normal about him. It is an oval shape that comes to a point at his chin. He doesn’t have chubby cheeks, doesn’t have high cheekbones, and he doesn’t have any indent in his cheeks. Hell, he doesn’t even have dimples! The only wrinkles on Xeno’s face are around his eyes, and in his forehead, from when he wrinkles it when he is thinking. His jawbone is fairly undefined, giving him a slight boyish look to him. Maybe that is why he keeps the beard all the time!
His ears are slightly uneven, the left one being a bit higher than the right. They are also fairly small for his head…well in height. They almost look as if someone pinched them to make them shorter. They also stick out from his head quite a bit, but the way Xeno wears his hair makes it so that you can’t notice them as much. They are always clean, because he needs his ears to do many of his experiments. He realizes he needs all of his senses for them, so he wouldn’t do anything to stop that.
He isn’t the shortest guy in the school. Actually, Xeno was on the taller side, standing at a good height of six foot and one inches tall. He has never really gotten past that gangly stage of his life, so his body most of the time seems too small for his limbs. He tends to walk using large motions of his arms, and legs. There really is nothing graceful about him. He looks as if he had just learned to walk half of the time. But, for some reason he has amazing balance.
To add onto his lanky appearance, he doesn’t have that many muscles in his body. Well, that many developed muscles in his body. His legs are probably the strongest part, because he tends to walk a lot. The only thing his arms are really used for are his experiments, and carrying books. He would never lower himself as much to exercise! That was a waste of time, and everyone knew it…except for maybe Crabbe. Because Xeno is so thin he actually looks as if he has a six-pack. In reality, that six-pack is just as underdeveloped as the rest of his body. He is so thin that his ribs stick out slightly…but not enough to make him look like he hasn’t been eating, because he loves to eat!
Xeno has the usual complexion of an English man. He doesn’t have any pimples, or anything of the sort. But instead his face is an almost flawless pale to tan, color. Freckles are something that gives Xeno that natural look. He has one right under his left eye, a few spread across his nose, and many more. In the winter the freckles seem to disappear. So in the winter he has a very pale complexion. During the summer, he has very tan skin. He is outside most of the time, so that is only natural right?

•writing – “Writing is more than just putting notes down on a page. It is a way to express yourself without any boundaries. Plus, it is a good way to keep your thoughts written down. Who needs a pensive when you have a pen and paper? •gnomes – “Brilliant little creatures. I’m positive there is something more about them. That is going to be the first thing that I do after I graduate. Study those little guys. I’m sure even their spit has some sort of magical property!” •christmas trees = “They’re so pretty and lit up. I don’t get what this has to do with Christmas…but I want to have one in my house year round!” •menorahs = “These little things are cool. The candles…and one for each day of Hanukah? I really don’t understand this…but yet again I want one in my house. And I’ll light it every week!” •pond scum – “You never know what you can find in this green goo. I’ve been studying it for a good part of my life, and still haven’t found out much about it…but that just means it is hiding a lot. Why would a pond keep something if there wasn’t something good in it? Plus, its ‘gross’ exterior is there to make people stay away from it. But I’m not afraid of a little slime!” •thinking – “Thinking makes you discover more things. The little creatures around your head go crazy when you do this, and start gossiping about various things that they know…and that is how you discover things!” •doodling - “When you just let your pencil draw, you come up with even more amazing ideas. It is like the pencil is using your hand to communicate to you, and then using you to communicate to the world. You really would never guess how much pencils know!” •walking = “Walking gives me that extra time to think. It lets me feel the ground on my feet, hear the world around me, and even watch little creatures. I do some of my best thinking when I am walking.” •ukulele = “The ukulele is one of those instruments that most people don’t think about. It is like a guitar, but small. I know that people usually only appreciate guitar players, but even little instruments need to express themselves too!” •cough drops – “These things are wonderful! They’re like candy…but medicine. They don’t really work though, so sometimes I have to give them an extra boost. But they sure are tasty!” •the ocean – “The waves are amazing to me. Who could believe that a sea monster in the middle of the ocean could cause a wave big enough to reach to the shore? The ocean is so huge! Nobody knows how deep it is, how large it is, or anything of the sort. There is so much to discover about it!” •seagulls – “These birds are amazing. They can always find their way back to the land even after they’ve been flying over the ocean for who knows how long. And how do they stay in the air so long? There must be various seagull villages in the middle of the ocean. I’d love to visit one sometime.” •candy canes – “Minty goodness in the shape of a cane! I don’t know why these are only popular around Christmas time. These should be popular every day!” •cookies – “Really, anyone who doesn’t like cookies is crazier than me.” •blankets – “These little pieces of cloth manage to keep a whole human body warm. I still haven’t figured out the magical property behind these which lets them do this…but they are amazing anyway.” •lighters = “These little flame throwers are amazing. Just a chemical and air and a little spark causes fire…but how did the muggles figure out how to do this? They’re fun to play with too! Good to have when you don’t want to take out your wand. Sometimes that little fire is more controlled than the rest…but that could be because the fire doesn’t have the little magical twist that all wands put onto magically created fire…poor lighter fire.” •pens = “You don’t have to dip your pen into the ink to get it to write! It is amazing! Plus, they see to have amazing brains. When the ink runs out, you know that you have gotten all of the knowledge out of that certain pen. It is always sad to just throw them away though.” •records – “Muggles are brilliant! They somehow scraped a piece of plastic and got it to play music…and there is no magic involved supposedly! I think that there are little creatures living in the cracks that play the music though.” •bugs – “No matter how small the creature, it still has a brain. And if I could speak bug, I have a feeling I would know so much more about the earth. There are some that live high in the sky, some that live in the grass, and even more that live under the ground. They all have to have different perspectives of the world!” •music – “Music is another way to express, or store thoughts. The musical instruments are using the musicians to speak. But, when people sing and play an instrument that means they are actually communicating with that exact instrument. It really is amazing.” •dancing = “Another way to have a conversation with musicians and their instruments. If people truly dance, they won’t worry about what other people think. Their body will take control.” •counting things – “Counting is another way to keep track of things. How else would people realize that the little candy tends to get up and walk away in the middle of the night. Nobody would know without counting!” •reading labels - “Haven’t you ever wondered what is in certain things? I still don’t get what it is half of the time…and I have a feeling they are leaving out about fifty seven ingredients on average. But it never hurts to read right?” •snitches = “Even though I am not a huge fan of Quidditch, the Snitch is one of those things that catch my brain’s attention. Supposedly they have their own brains, and things of that nature. Too bad I’ll never be able to catch one and figure it out for myself.” •photography – “Photographs taken by Wizards are amazing. It is a way to keep someone living even after they die. The picture never fades after the wizard has died. I still wonder if the wizards soul is kept in the picture, or if it is just our imaginations. Maybe there is a whole other universe called ‘picture land,’ and our pictures are just windows into that universe.” •muggles = “Brilliant beings. They live without magic, which I can respect. Plus, they’ve created so many amazing things! I don’t understand how they managed to do everything that they have without magical help. Maybe everyone has a bit of the wizarding world in them, and they just don’t know it.” •family – “Family is life. Without a family, one cannot live. I’m convinced of this, and nobody will ever be able to change my mind.” •humming – “Humming is almost like singing, but you don’t have words. It is a way to communicate with anyone, but there is no language. But wherever you go, people can hum back a melody to you. There has to be something behind this.” •feathers – “Are these the things that make birds fly, and how do they do it? They really are amazing, with that hallow center, and then the little fuzz coming off of it. And they all seem so perfect, until they finally fall to the ground. But, why do they fall so much slower than everything else?” •grapes = “Grapes are strange, because they all bunch together. Have you ever seen a lone grape? This has to be because the grapes like living in a community. It is almost like a pack of wolves…but it is a pack of grapes. And when one grape goes down, the rest of them go down with. It really is sweet when you think about it.” •lollipops – “Candy on a stick, BRILLIANT!” •tea = “Tea is a substance that warms you all the way through. And it is obvious that there is something magical about it, because you can use the leaves to read the future. I’ve never been able to master that art, but I just don’t have the inner eye. I can still drink the tea though!” •hot cider = “Now, the only magical thing about hot cider is it tastes amazing…and warms you up again.” •facial hair – “If I didn’t have my facial hair, I’d look like a girl! Plus, the facial hair helps those little creatures from hiding in my pores. I would rather them be in my beard than in my actual skin…plus the beard has to be warmer for them.” •the human mind – “It is amazing, and it hides so much. It also amazes me how little of it most people use. I will never be able to understand it, because every person seems so different. But I wish I could figure out how exactly it worked.” •ears – “How do your ears let you hear things? And do people hear everything the same? There is no way to truly figure this out, and it baffles me!” •potatoes = “Potatoes can be cooked in so many ways, and in every way they are amazing! How do mashed potatoes get so soft when a normal potato is so hard? Why does the hot water make it soft, where cold water will make it hard?” •knit socks and scarves – “There is nothing quite like a hand knit sock or scarf. I don’t know what it is about it, but they always seem to be warmer. Maybe the people who make them always put a warming spell on them. I would never know, because I can’t knit.” •mandrakes – “These are the weirdest little creatures that I have ever seen. They cure, and solve paralysis. Strange beings…I wonder what kind of things they see when they are under the earth, and why they hate being above the ground so much. Maybe there is something down there that we are all missing.” •electricity – “It amazes me the muggles have figured out how to generate this source of energy, and make it work for them. Sure, making fire is easy. But they have managed to make a strong flow of electrons power their things. And what exactly is an electron? A little e shaped bug? I have no idea! I’ve just read about them in books!” •crumple-horned snorkacks – “Brilliant little creatures. Too bad nobody really believes in them. It is a shame really. They are friendly creatures.” •tinsel – “It is shiny, and somehow manages to shred itself all over the floor. I’m not sure if it is just bits of it trying to escape, or what goes on. But it sure is pretty!” •oregano – “This is an amazing spice that will make almost any sauce taste better in an instant. I’m not sure what the cooking fairy puts in this little green leaf, but it has to be her best creation.” •shoe laces – “Shoe laces have so many more uses than just keeping your shoes on. And, for some reason they really don’t like to stay tied. I’m positive there is something about them that helps good old Karma out…because they always trip people right after they say or do something bad. I wonder if they have a deal with her or something.” •disco – “Good music that almost forces people to dance! It is brilliant! Almost like the emotions from the music jump into people’s bodies, and force them to dance. I’m nut sure what it is about disco, but it is the only music that I have seen have such a great impact.” •nits = “As I have said before, every type of bug has a point of view…but these bugs choose to live in hair. Why would they do that? Are they sucking up human knowledge, or do they just want to be close to us? I have no idea!” •humming birds – “These birds have tapped into the strange language of the hummers. I wonder if they actually know how to speak it. I’ll have to ask one sometime.” •radishes – “These little creatures live under the ground, and still taste amazing. Plus, they are beautiful! Too bad they don’t have much of a sent, because I’m sure they smell amazing. I wonder if they are like the mandrakes and actually have a life underground…if they did that would be somewhat sad that we eat them…”
dislikes;
•yawning – “You know, yawning lets all of the demons go into your mouth. It is a dangerous thing. Especially since the yawning only happens when you are tired, and therefore your brain is more susceptible to those evil little beings. Scary isn’t it?” •pressure – “People pressuring people is just a way to get power over the other person. It is dumb, and a pointless thing to do. Plus, I tend to give into pressure a lot. I don’t know why.” •violence – “There is no reason for violence. A battle of wits should solve any confrontation…or people should just walk away.” •mean people – “Mean people start violence, and pressure people into things. Plus, they tend to think that they are better than most people. It is probably those little creatures flying around their heads getting into fights with each other. I guess I can’t blame them for being mean…” •invasions – “Don’t you hate the idea of people just showing up, and not knowing where they came from? It tends to ruin all plans that were in place…and I just hate it.” •sports – “They seem to be a waste of good energy. Although, they do somehow teach people how to work together…in a very violent way…and make people hate each other. Yeah sports are not good for people in general.” •multiples of seven – “So many people are convinced that multiples of seven are lucky, and that must mean that they are not. They give people false hope, and cause a lot of people to be crushed…so I’m not sure how people could think they are lucky.” •applesauce – “Ground up apples? I’d rather chew them myself.” •falling – “When you fall, it is basically Karma’s way of telling you that you’ve done something bad. So, when I fall I know that I have done something bad…and I just don’t like that.” •raw pancake batter – “How could something so vial make something so amazing!?” •blank walls – “I’ve always grown up with drawings covering the walls. So, I think that blank walls are signs of a room with little to no life in it. It really is kind of sad if you think about it. It doesn’t take much to put a little poster up.” •being so alone – “Nobody really listens to me. It is kind of sad, but I’m not going to change myself for anyone. I have those few people who believe n me…mainly my family.” •muggle pictures – “Muggle pictures are far from a thousand words. They just capture a single second, and don’t really tell a story. I’m sure the same picture could be taken fifty times. Muggle pictures aren’t a window to another universe like Wizarding pictures are. Too bad the muggles don’t get to see into that universe.” •brick walls – “They are so strong, and unmoving. The only reason for a brick wall is if you have something that you are positive is not going to go anywhere, or change…and well things change every second. So, brick walls are pointless!” •having his head shoved in the toilet – “Do I really have to talk about this?” •the “normal” crowd – “The normal crowd doesn’t like me at all. For some reason, they think they are better than me. I know that we are just on the same page…too bad they can’t get that idea in their head as well.” •death = “Whoever likes death must be crazy…and well you’d probably think that I would like death because of that. But honestly, I have no way of knowing what happens after death, and that scares me. Do you go to some hell dimension? Do you go to heaven? Do you just cease to exist?” •fake food – “Have you ever ate that cheese that isn’t really cheese? Honestly I wouldn’t have a problem with it if I could define what it is…but the only thing that I can figure out is that it is plastic of some sort.” •plastic – “Plastic is wrong. It doesn’t break down at all…or if it does it sure is hard to do that. It is ruining the earth!” •rubber – “Rubber just confuses me. I might like it if I did more studies on it.” •shoes – “Shoes are a waste of time. You can get in touch with the ground so much easier when you have your shoes off. You can feel the grass tickle your feet, feel the dirt mingle with the grass, etc.” •lucky rabbits feet = “Cutting off rabbits feet for luck is disgusting.” •the practice of keeping house elves – “What did the poor house elves do to you wizards?! Just because they are smaller, and more wrinkly doesn’t mean that you can keep them as your personal slaves! If that was the case, you could probably take an old wizard and make him your slave…but we don’t do that now do we?” •knitting – “I don’t have the magic touch to knitting, therefore I don’t like it! It is a pretty simple thing. The knitting fairy hasn’t given me that gift yet…if he or she did, I would like it.” •cold water – “Cold water is there to make people uncomfortable. I’m sure of it! Because when you step into cold water, and your muscles tense up…that proves that there is something wrong with it. There must be little creatures that live in the cold and crawl into your muscles, which then paralyze you. The colder the water, the worse the paralysis.” •broken pencils – “Broken pencils are basically another lost soul. The pencils have so much to tell, and that is why the lead goes throughout the entire wooden part. So if they break, there is so much that is lost.” •mermaids – “These things are scary! People think that mermaids are really beautiful and nice, but they aren’t! I’m convinced that they are going to try to take over the world some day. I’d rather just live in peace with them...but they seem so mean, I’m not sure if it will work.” •wrecking a bicycle = “Wrecking a bicycle is like falling off a broom, but worse. Basically it gives you this thing called “road rash” and is extremely painful. I’m not sure why the rash happens from the road…but it is strange.” •picking his own scabs – “It is painful! I’m not sure why some kids do this all the time. When you pick away the scab, you are opening another orifice, and the bad demons can go in through there! The scab is there to protect your body from those bad demons…but no, the kids have to pick them.” •sleeping without his pillow – “For some reason I need my exact pillow to sleep. There is a certain sent to it that causes my brain to shut off and let me go to sleep. So when I don’t have it, I can’t sleep.” •snares – “These are just a cruel way to catch innocent creatures. Why would you do something like that!?” •scolding hot soup or tea – “There is nothing worse than burning your mouth! So, there probably is, but I can’t think of it at the moment.” •people questioning his thoughts in a rude manner – “There is no reason to be rude! I don’t mind discussing things, but when people put me down right away I just don’t like it. Would you like it?” •being so cold that he shivers – “The shivers are obviously the Frezoniates running out of your body! So, if you shiver, you know that you have been infected by them. That isn’t a good thing! But, I guess that when you shiver they are going out of your body, so that is a good thing. But there is nothing saying that they won’t come back.” •shivers in general – “The frezoniates.”

weaknesses;
•easily persuaded into believing things •doesn’t take pressure well •death is very hard for him to cope with •sometimes lets joking go too far •he can’t dance well •could be classified as insane •thoughts are too “advanced” for everyone around him •doesn’t have good social skills •imagination gets the best of him •mad ukulele player
habits;
•analyzing anything and everything he can get his hands on •walking on his toes •not shutting up when people ask him to •writing about nothing in general •turning in essays that are twice the suggested length
secrets;
•he wants to be liked •he is actually a genius •he keeps his best ideas to himself •he doesn’t want to be alone
patronus;
“A patronus is a strange thing. People claim that they are pure happiness that are used to drive dementors away. But if that was true, why do they take form of an animal…and not a type of food or something? Don’t you think if the dementor was going to feed off of it, it would want to be eating food instead of an animal? Well, my patronus isn’t food, obviously…actually I’ve never heard of anyone eating this type of animal before, which is good. My patronus takes shape of an ant eater. It is pretty amazing because sometimes it doesn’t even have to crawl on all four legs. I would really like to talk to one in the near future.”
boggart;
“I’m not afraid of much in this world, it is true. I’m afraid of stupid things such as mermaids, and various other creatures like that. But the worst thought that has ever come across my mind is finding my family dead on the floor. Honestly if that happened, I’d have nobody…
It really is hard to summarize a person with such a complex brain in just a few paragraphs. Xeno would love to live up to the challenge of something like this. He strives for challenges. Not that he would actually put himself in dangers way to find one…well he kind of does, because many of his experiments could be considered dangerous, but he wouldn’t ever think of them like that. He won’t give up once he puts his mind to a task. He considers that failure…and well just laziness. So, when someone gives Xeno a task, they can expect it to be done quickly, and properly. Well, it will be done properly in his own mind.
He has trouble sticking with directions people give him. He figures there is multiple ways to solve anything, so he shouldn’t be forced to solve something a certain way. Because of this philosophy, he sometimes likes to find the solution to things many times before actually admitting that the solution is true. That is only for things that have already been proven as true. It doesn’t take much for him to believe things that are “out there.” He realizes that all you have to do is open your eyes, and new knowledge will come to you. He figures that the only reason why people don’t believe him is because they all have problems opening their eyes to new possibilities. So, when someone finally does he probably wouldn’t want them to leave his side…not that he is a scary stalker.
Xeno has less than no social skills. The only thing he really communicates with is a pen and a pad of paper. This could be because when he talks to people he makes them very uncomfortable. He figures no topic is off limits. So when people talk to him they have no idea what is going to come out of his mouth. That could also be because Xeno makes very strange connections in his brain. Such as when you are talking about butterflies, and then suddenly the conversation is on pecan pie. This tends to frustrate a lot of people, so conversations tend to drop after that point.
Having his brain run all the time makes him even worse about things like that. He is constantly taking things in and analyzing them. He was trained as a young child that that is what you are supposed to do. He doesn’t realize that there are certain things that don’t need to be analyzed…such as mashed potatoes. He likes writing everything down, and never goes anywhere without his notebook. It is almost like a safety blanket for him. He is convinced that wherever he goes, he can write something down. So, this tends to annoy people as well. Would you like talking to someone, and having them write things down constantly? Probably not. Because of this, he has extensive notes on almost anything you can imagine. He has so many that he can’t really go back and read any of them. He isn’t very organized…
He doesn’t see how people can find something like that annoying though. The one thing he has a lot of trouble understanding is the human mind…but he thinks that they are amazing and strives to know everything about them. All of those feelings…greed, lust, love, hate, anger, etc. He wants to know where they come from, and if there is any way to spontaneously create those emotions. So he is constantly analyzing people as well as the surroundings. He always takes everything in a situation into account. He knows that people are happy some places, and then unhappy other places. Currently, he thinks that there are little creatures that fly around human heads, and it is those that create emotion. He just needs to figure out what those are, and how they do that.
As a result of this, he isn’t very open to his true feelings. He doesn’t know how to express himself at all, so sometimes he just comes off as a bit of a creep. But, when he really likes someone they will begin to realize it quickly. He just has different ways of exposing it. Like, he might actually ask before taking notes on someone. Or he might ask for help on a certain project. Xeno isn’t one to ask for help normally. In his house all of the Lovegoods had their own experiments, and they were expected to stay working on those experiments. The fact that he would actually try to get someone to help proves that he trusts them a lot, and wants to spend time with them. It takes a lot for Xeno to actually open up to someone though.
For some reason, Xeno isn’t very trusting. He hasn’t really been accepted anywhere except for in his own house, so when someone finally does he is convinced they just want something. So if this has happened in the past, he is likely to have scared them away because he would close up even more. When he closes up, he doesn’t really talk. Instead, he writes…and writes…and writes. He figures if he doesn’t say anything out loud, they are likely to go away, and if they don’t go away they aren’t getting anything out of him. But, if someone is a lot like him he’ll open up quickly. They have to prove themselves in one way or another though, or else he might thin that they are just making fun of him like the other kids do.
Xeno has always been a family man. He realizes that family will never leave you, where sometimes friends might. He discovered this from watching people fight, and watching his own family. He realized that when his family fought, it would be resolved within minutes…and when friends fought it could take weeks to recover. So with family, there was something different about those little creatures that fly around the heads. He would do anything for his family. Quit school, put himself in harms way, etc. The last thing he would ever want is for his family to be hurt. He doesn’t mind that his family has a bad name in the wizarding world, figuring the bad name would be lifted once people opened their eyes. But, he doesn’t want any physical harm to happen to this. This same state of mind would transfer once he is able to create his own family.
Once Xeno gets an idea in his mind it is difficult to change it. Even if there is solid proof, he still will believe what is stuck in his mind. He takes that whole “to prove something right, you have to prove it right in every scenario” to heart. So when people tell him that they are right, and he is wrong he might respond with “In this scenario,” but that doesn’t mean he is convinced. He will use whatever he can to prove that he isn’t wrong. Although he isn’t a big fan of danger. When things get to this point, he finds it even more difficult to pick the way to go. This is partially because he doesn’t want to get hurt, and partially because he doesn’t want to give up. He usually picks the easy way out at this point though, especially if it involves endangering his friends or family.
He has never been a religious guy, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t believe that there is something out there. He just has no idea what it is. That is one of the things that he really doesn’t care if he discovers or not. He figures if there is something out there for sure, it will show itself, and when that happens he might follow it. And since his mind is so open, and he still doesn’t have any clear ideas, obviously it isn’t that important! But, he would never give someone a hard time for having a religion. He figures it is their life, and if they want to believe in that and not crumple horned snorkacks, then that is their own decision. Really, and people thought he was crazy.
Secrets are a big thing to Xeno. He is good at keeping them, because he himself has a lot to hide. If someone actually trusts him enough to tell him something, he realizes it must be important, and would never spread any rumors. He realizes rumors cause drama, and he hates drama…although it can be amusing to watch people sometimes. He would feel really guilty if any drama was caused because of something he did. So, a lot of the time Xeno has a fairly laid back personality. He isn’t the class clown, he isn’t someone who strives to break any records, he isn’t someone to go drink on the weekends. He just lives his life one day at a time, writing anything that he can down.

“I was born in Ottery St. Catchpole in my current home. They didn’t take my mom to a hospital, because there really was no use.”
current hometown;
“I’ve lived in a small house in the amazing village of Ottery St. Catchpole, which happens to be in England. I plan on living here for the rest of my life! “
financial status
“We aren’t rich but we aren’t poor! What do you expect, just because I’m a not so pure blood I have to be one or the other. Plus, financial status is a stupid word. I’m in the middle class according to society, but in my own brain I’m in the upper class. We have so many amazing gadgets that some people classify as junk…but we know better.”
parents;
“My parents are amazing people. My mother is named Adelaide. She stays at home with my father and does experiments in the house. They are the people who gave me my amazing brain. Reginald, my father, has been studying about all of these amazing creatures since he was my age! I’m so glad he opened my eyes to this world.”
siblings;
“I’m an only child, which is somewhat of a sad thing because my parents have so much to give to the world. I’ll just have to pass on their knowledge myself.”
history;
The Lovegoods have always had a reputation of being a little insane. Well, as new generations are created, the more insane they seem to get. So, after Reginald and Adelaide met each other at Hogwarts, almost everyone was sure that they would get married. Why was that? Because they both were looked at as the crazy kids in the school. Normally the “normal” crowd wouldn’t bother even trying to be around them. So, naturally once they met, they couldn’t get enough of each other! It started off as a good friendship, just playing in the lake and hunting the forest for rare beings. The rare being they seemed to find was Cupid himself, and as they all say it, the rest was history.
Reginald and Adelaide got married soon after they graduated from Hogwarts. They knew that they needed each other to live happy lives. It was as if the little creatures that swarmed around their heads had to be around each other or else both Reginald and Adelaide would die! Or maybe they were just madly in love with each other, and trying to find a decent excuse for it. So, they got married and bought a small house in the little village of Ottery St. Catchpole. The first day that they lived there, other wizarding folk came over with the usual housewarming gifts…but that was the last time they ever saw their neighbors. For some reason the neighbors didn’t like the look of all the sketches that were pasted all over the walls, the various potions brewing, or the random contraptions that would explode every five minutes or so. As the newly wed Lovegoods lived in that house, they never got any visitors. No owls coming to the house. Nothing.
After about five years of being alone, they decided they needed someone else in their life, so that is when young Xenophilius was born! They didn’t bother going to a hospital during the birth. There was no use seeing as the parents were scientists. Since when could a scientist wizard not give birth? Lucky for all three of them everything went as planned, and there were no problems…except for when Xeno’s head hit the ground as soon as he was born. It was then that they decided that having another baby was pointless. The little blonde-haired blue-eyed baby was going to be perfect for the two. He was a perfect mixture between the two parents, and if they had another they knew that it would be more like one of them…and that isn’t what they wanted. They had wanted to create a perfect mix between the two of them, and their experiment turned to be a success!
Friends were something that Xeno didn’t really get as a child due to nobody coming over to the house. The Lovegoods convinced him that it was natural, which wasn’t that hard to do seeing as he had never known anything else…and well he couldn’t really observe anything different. He figured most people just had their families to keep them company, and that was good enough. This caused the Lovegoods to get very close. He never really got to know his grandparents because they all died between when he was born, and when he turned three. So, it was the three of them for life!
Xeno had always grown up around various experiments, and was encouraged to join in ever since he was a young child. Talk of Snorkacks and Gnome spit that has magical properties was a normal thing to have happen at the dinner table. They always had encouraged him to ask questions, to research, and do whatever he could to get the solution to something. Failure was not something that happened to often in the Lovegood family, and that was mainly because they would work so hard to figure things out. They were constantly learning new things about the world. They were one of the prime people that began the rumors about the sky being just a sheet with a few holes poked out of it to let the light shine through. And hell, why would the world be round? It might be pyramid shaped! And earthquakes were just there to show that the earth needed a bit to eat. It was beginning to get harder and harder for the Lovegoods to all work in the same household…and well it was hard enough for Xenophilius to find things to study there at such a young age. He didn’t even know how to study properly!
So when Xenophilius finally got his letter to Hogwarts he was mainly excited because he got to put his brain to work even more. He got to test things out in a completely different environment! Different atmosphere, different location, different people! It was going to be exciting. Yes, a young boy was actually having these thoughts. Well, when he got to school he found it much more difficult to do his experiments because he was forced to do a lot of petty work. Writing essays on simple spells, transfiguring objects into other objects. All of the things they were studying had been proven centuries ago! So, when he went out and actually attempted to do his own research, he often got made fun of. He tended to push all of those mean thoughts out of his mind and continued to do his work. He knew that it would only be time until they realized what exactly he had been talking about.
Xeno was never accepted as a normal wizard. It was a curse of the Lovegood name, not that he ever considered it a curse. Instead of trying to rename himself, he basically gave into the rumors that were spread about him, and became a little bit crazier. But because of this, nobody ever really believed anything that he was saying, even if it was true. Around his fifth year, he decided he needed to get his discoveries in writing…and that is when the first version of the Quibbler was born. It was a one page publication that he passed out only to the worthy…the worthy basically being three or four people. He never tried to give it to more people, because he figured that people would just think he was even more crazy…but since the people that he gave it to liked it, a little seed has been planted in his mind about making that little Quibbler into a huge thing.
