Roxanne only looks like her brother in brief glances. In fact there is hardly anything identical about them. Maybe the placement of their ears. If standing next to each other you probably wouldn’t be able to tell that they were siblings separated by a little less than a year. Sebastian seems to have gotten his looks from his unknown father, not fitting in with his family at all. While Roxanne inherited her mothers genes and a few of her fathers.

She’s got the Spanish looks, down to the dark hair and tan skin. The girl probably could go weeks without going outdoors and still have that healthy tan. Thankfully though she spends most of her time outdoors, this enhances her skin color, of course. Freckles litter her body, almost invisible when compared to her skin color. Her body is basically unblemished, a scar or two turning up if you knew where to look. It’s a little hard to stop scabs from scarring when you can’t afford disinfectant to keep the germs out.

Roxy’s hair is dark, not exactly black but closer than dark brown. It hangs in usually wavy strands down her back, unless she takes the time to do something different with it. She tends to cut her hair herself which explains the uneven layers, though it’s hardly noticeable with the way her hair hangs. The female hardly does something different with it, figuring that it would take up too much of her time. She occasionally throws a hat on or a headband if she didn’t have enough time to shower in the morning.

Her body developed at the young age of twelve, and that was that. She hit puberty earlier than most of the girls in her year, and was often mistaken for a third year. Before puberty she was as thin as a beanpole, finding it hard to get the proper nutrients when they could hardly afford butter much less actual food. Puberty developed curves that probably wouldn’t have been there before. Rox hit 5’9 in just a few days, awkwardly adjusting to the sudden advantages of height. She filled out, despite the fact that Sebastian told her to ‘stop fucking growing!’, and welcomed her new body shape. It was much better than her previous two by four body. Muscles littered her arms and legs, thanks to hard working over the summer. She wasn’t the weakest girl but she could probably be taken down quite easily due to inability to fight, even if Seb insisted on her learning.

Roxanne’s lips were no way near being as crooked as her brothers. They’re full and often turned into a small smile. Two deep dimples are curved into her freckle littered cheeks, giving her the innocent look that her skin color doesn’t provide. Her eyes, once again, unlike her brothers are a light green, obviously inherited from her ‘father’. And one more time, unlike her brother, her nose falls in a straight line, not having been broken even once. Despite the fact that Sebastian suggest her to go ahead and get it broken. He figured it would keep away the guys.

Crudeness obviously doesn’t run in the family. It’s obvious even just from glancing at Roxanne. Despite the fact that her mother is a whore, and her older brother is quickly following that path, Roxanne somehow managed to keep her virginity to herself as well as her innocence. Well… as innocent as you can get when the people you’re supposed to look up to are both selling themselves out. But somehow she manages.

Despite that, she isn’t the ‘naïve’ younger sister. She knows exactly what is going on with her brother and tends to scold him repeatedly for his actions. Not that that stops him. At all. Rox in no way supports his actions and while she may be the ‘innocent’ younger sister, her temper is one to avoid. The only person she has been publicly angered with was Sebastian, but really, you couldn’t blame the girl.

Roxanne is probably one of the nicest people you would meet. That’s a little cliché, but it’s very close to the truth. She was born and raised in the ghetto of Spain, but that didn’t stop her from growing up into a polite teenager. She is almost always smiling, and doesn’t like to put her problems on other people. She is determined and more than a little stubborn. She’s used to working for what she wants and has never cheated or stolen in her entire life. No matter how much easier that would make things.

Like I said, she isn’t naïve. In any way. She understands the ‘innuendos’, the flirts, and has figured out a way to get around them without actually being mean about it. Which stops her from getting flustered when the attempt is made. Because there are some very brave boys that would risk angering her brother just to attempt to get in her pants. If she’s complimented, Rox quickly finds a way to return it, so the blush is banned from her cheeks.

She studies hard to excel in class but often gets distracted. Hogwarts is where she gets away from the trial of her actual life and she finds herself talking and making friends more than actually studying. She’s nowhere near being shy; often going up to people and speaking to them first. Even still, she’s more than polite, using her pleases&thankyous more often than they should be used.

Rox tends to help people more than they actually need. They could find her annoying in the sense that she doesn’t seem to drop something until it’s absolutely one hundred percent perfect. She’s just a little too friendly, not understanding why people don’t like her. She helps in every way possible which throws off most people who just want to be left alone. She tends to get a little annoying because she is never just talking. So maybe she isn’t the nicest person but she is definitely the most helpful.

She isn’t innocent, in the word I suppose. But you could say that she was innocent compared to her brother. She resists from swearing, insulting people, gossiping. Anything that could hurt someone’s feelings are quickly cataloged in the back of her head and never thought of again. She doesn’t have a quick temper; her fuse is almost like its wet and takes several attempts before you even get a flicker of a flame. She doesn’t hold grudges and is quick to forgive. She’s also quick to become guilty and even quicker to blame herself. Which is a bit of an annoying prospect when you’re a teenager.

Rox is nowhere near being confrontational. In fact, she’ll do anything to avoid it. Even taking to complimenting the person just to avoid trading insults. She hates arguing and hates being hated.

Lucky for her, Sebastian Mejia is her older brother. Most people don’t actually tell her to her face that they don’t like her. Which would most likely heartbreak her, as well as add another reason for her to ‘help’ them. In this case help them learn to like her. But really… She has had to deal with confrontation just because of that fact. It’s hard to be completely honest to a girl when her 6’3, two hundred pound brother is making threatening gestures behind the persons back. With knives.

And yes people, despite the fact that her name is the title of a song about a whore, she isn’t one. She has morals, unlike someone she is closely related to.

Christina Mejia became pregnant at the ripe age of sixteen. A boy was born and dubbed June 21st 1961. Less than one year later on January 18th, Roxanne Ambrose Mejia was born a month premature. She was housed in the hospital for a month before deemed healthy enough to leave, and was quickly acquainted with a shaky crib located in a shack on the edge of Spain. Roxy was a healthy baby, even if their home was without the necessities or safety precautions that are usually required to stop a baby from eating… everything. Roxanne was smart enough to not eat cockroaches and not to stray towards the large rats that littered their four foot long yard. They had enough money, thanks to their grandmother, to live strictly. For two years Christina slowed down her promiscuous activities to take care of her first children. After another year of careful parenting, her mother passed away, leaving the shack in Christina's name. She had to work to keep up the rent and quickly went back to her old ways, leaving a four year old Sebastian to take care of Roxanne, as well as the newly born twins; Christopher and Benjamin.

Sebastian quickly became the sole provider of the growing family, despite the fact that Roxanne wanted to take on some of the work, even at her young age. He refused to let her follow her to his work, even though it was obvious they were failing. So Roxanne snuck out after Sebastian left and found her own work, sneaking her cash into Sebastian’s own pile. It took off some of the strain, even though they were only five and obviously couldn’t seriously work. The five year olds were more responsible than their twenty year old mother. Then Kayla was born and Roxanne took on some of the responsibility, even though Sebastian argued with her. It was obvious they needed to money so she no longer had to sneak out to get the money.

When Sebastian got the infamous Hogwarts letter at the ripe age of eleven years old, Roxanne had felt an overwhelming sense of panic. More work was shoved onto her shoulders, no matter how much Sebastian wanted to stay home. At ten Roxanne had forced Sebastian to the school; she and Kayla immediately working more than ten year olds should. They couldn’t do the work that Sebastian did, but they quickly found off the hand ways to make money to provide for the slowly growing family.

And then a year later, Roxanne received the same exact later. Unlike Sebastian, she knew who her father was. Not that he was a wizard, but she had actually met him. Once. Not that it changed anything. Roxanne had been anxious at the fact that she would leave Christopher, Ben, and Kayla in charge of the family but she figured that she needed an education. And what better education was magic?

Roxanne didn’t act out as much as her brother at school. In fact she didn’t act out at all. She quickly made many friends, smiling and laughing. Despite the threat of going back to home, she was easygoing and kind to anyone who would return the favor. And even to people who wouldn’t. She was a suck up, even if she was only getting average grades. She’s never received one detention in her life, which was more than surprising.

Nothing changed over the years, even as more children were added into the family; Madeline, Yvette, Jonathan, Adam, then there was the second set of twins; Thomas and Jennifer, followed by Veronica. The latest child, added over the summer, was Isabel, adding to the work that the elder siblings did over the summer. It was a wonder that they were even still alive.
