Title: What made you TT crazy
ThexMidnightxShow - June 26, 2005 11:43 PM (GMT)
What made you Teen Titan crazy? Was it the first epi you watched or something else? Post your reason here... :)
For me it was watching the epi Mad Mod. I thought it was just soooo funny! Then I watched Sisters and the whole idea of the R/S made me love it even more. So now I'M HOOKED! :thumb:
DiamondDustPixie - June 27, 2005 12:15 AM (GMT)
It was because of the whole R/S thing. The first episode I saw was Divide and Conquor. It was interesting so I stuck around for the next one which was Sisters. I became deteremined to find fanart on Robin and Starfire or even screen shots. And low and behold I found this site and further continued my TT addiction. I never read the comics (and don't plan to either), but just the show itself is upbeat and entertains me. To me it was just so easy to fall into the show. :)
ZodiacFire - June 27, 2005 02:52 AM (GMT)
I guess you could say that I was totally infatuated with superheroes since I was a kid. I mean, The Adam West Batman & Robin series, The Batman Animated series, The Superman movies, and anything else related, just got me curious. I had never really thought about the comic books and all that until TT, actually.
It's kind of weird how all of a sudden there's this myriad of Superhero movies and TV shows that are coming out nowadays. But I'll always remain faithful to Batman, who was my first and foremost favorite, and Chris O'Donnell, who played Robin in Batman Forever and, I thought, did a good job of it. Not to mention he's cute, too.
Teen Titans was a funny and interesting show that told me there were more superheroes out there than the obvious ones. Also, since I'm a history lover, I thank anyone whoever posted the Titan's Tower site. Biography's are so interesting to me and I enjoy relating the comics to the TV show.
In simpler terms: What I liked as a child are still with me today and I am a very happy, happy person.

I'll be honest personally I ever even knew about the teen titans...................................................until I saw the show........
The whole r/s thing got me hooked to the show and I love BB..........
The episode that started my whole craze with TT was sisters...........after that episode I was hooked...........
RySenkari - June 27, 2005 03:48 AM (GMT)
Saw Final Exam and wasn't too thrilled... then I saw Sisters.
When Robin rescued Starfire... so freakin' cute. I was hooked ever since!
mimisanthetitan - June 27, 2005 03:48 AM (GMT)
i saw the japanese version of the theme song, saw BB, watched the episode, became hooked, after two months I watched DWD and became a R/S addict ^.^
Robin - June 27, 2005 04:05 AM (GMT)
The first episode I saw was apprentice part 2 and that just got me hooked... i saw TT on some commericals and to me it looked like crap..but i was flipping through the channels one day and saw apprentice part 2 was on..and i loved the whole r/s thing in that epi and how much of a badass slade was... bad guys just rule.. then i tooned in the next day and sisters was on...so from that point on TT has been my religion..
Crystal Rose - June 27, 2005 05:39 AM (GMT)
Okay to be honest the first time I watched Teen Titans I absolutely hated it *dodges flying bricks* Two reasons though:
1.The first episode I saw was The Sum of His Parts
2.It was in German *sudders*
That was the biggest snorefest of all time for me so I came to America hating it
Then when I moved here I caught a glimpse of it while unpacking. Not knowing what it was I sat down and watched it, strangely enough I liked it (Date With Destiny was on). ^^ ever since then Ive been a teen titan fan girl!!
Boo_yah! - June 27, 2005 06:19 AM (GMT)
The thing that made me Teen Titans crazy was Raven, even though I think that they show too many episodes of her now. She just looked like the sad, misunderstood, lonely kid in the team and I could relate to that back then. But after watching a couple episodes I noticed Cyborg and I think that he is the most awesome character in the show because he can do anything and has a great personality. ^_^ Well from what I see anyways. Ever since then ive been watching Teen Titans and RPing at Teen Titans sites.
~Mººn MåDn€§§~ - June 27, 2005 10:44 AM (GMT)
...I can't remember my first ep...but i guess it was Deep Six...And I watched the ep 8 times...ok...then...I liked Raven...cos of her freaky freakiness...and Beastboy was a squid most of the time in deep six...I thought that was funny...especially the telapathy part...LOL...ok...and I tot R/S was a cute couple...and BB/RAE are too...
Saikotic - June 27, 2005 11:01 AM (GMT)
I saw the commercials, and the pizza thing got me "And fight for the last slice of pizza" so I was expecting a total meyhem thing, but the I saw the R/S and im a sucker for any fluffy in a cartoon or tv show :hsugh: I was looking for screenshots and found this place...same as everyone else pretty much.
Chaos Knight - June 27, 2005 11:09 AM (GMT)
for me it was raven, the fight scenes, and the in depth character emotions
RSDestiny - June 27, 2005 12:09 PM (GMT)
Well, I saw Final Exam and wasn't too impressed, but I decided to give it another shot. The one after was Sisters and my opinion improved GREATLY. That episode was so well done, and I could tell right away there was a thing between Robin and Star.
After the opening part on the ferris wheel was done, I made up my mind, I was watching it, and afterwards I came away with the conclusion that it was a good show!
However, it was after Nevermore that I became a total solid fan of the show, and I've been absolutely loving it ever since!
Starbolt - June 27, 2005 08:24 PM (GMT)
I remember watching from the middle of Switched and at the end of the episode I was like "what show was that?" So i kept flipping on cartoon network every once and a while until I finally saw a full episode, i was hooked from then on.
Lomesir22 - June 27, 2005 11:31 PM (GMT)
Frankly, I should be a Teen Titans HATER. The first episode I ever watched was Every Dog Has His Day, so I dunno what attracted me. Though, I do remember loving BB's character.
Misha - June 28, 2005 02:16 AM (GMT)
I got hooked when i first saw the almost end of "A Beast Within* thought it was cool then began to watch it everyday
Silverwind - June 28, 2005 05:40 PM (GMT)
I watched the first eppie, and, as i do with other shows, i imagined couples. Orriginally i had r/s and either bb/r or r/cy. then when terra came i decided on bb/t and cy/r. but then, when all these other girls came in i was just, cy will be with one of them, not sure wich one. so i guess u could say i got hooked on the couples.
PerfectlyImperfect - June 30, 2005 03:16 PM (GMT)
the first episode i ever saw was a bad episode so i stoped watching it. then one day there was nothing to watch so i turned it to ten titans ans was the end of Apprentice prt II and fell in love with it. now i'm totally obsessed and can't stop thinking about them.
pinkfire1 - July 1, 2005 11:44 PM (GMT)
well the first episode i saw was dwd and i thout rodin and star was going out and i loved it eversence
Lyrienn - July 2, 2005 12:23 AM (GMT)
Hm...I actually can't really remember how I really got hooked. I do remember noticing the constant mentio of Teen Titans almost everywhere I went. Seriously, the show is surprizingly popular. I noticed it especially on the Role Play boards on Neopets.Com (Yes, I play Neopets. It's fun. =3), and kept thinking "Teen Titans? What the heck is that?". I was weirded out even further when I saw some of the names of the Titans, like Starfire and Beast Boy. At some point I watched the end of an episode (I think it was 'Deception') and thoguht the show was really weird, but left me wanting to see more. I liked the anime-super-hero idea, thought I really don't know why. It somehow reminds me of back when I was little, and used to love watching Sailor Moon. I forgot how fun super hero cartoons could be. :D So I watched it some more, read fan fictions and did some research...and ended up getting hooked. :thumb: I mean, the show is just so addictive! I love all of the characters, and how the show is such a pleasant balance between crime-fighting drama and simple humor. It just really makes for an enjoyable show.
Also, on a funny (well, I think it's funny :p) side note, when I first saw Teen Titans, one of the first things to pop into my head was 'Hey, they ripped off Robin from Batman!'. I learned later on about the history of the Titans, and how Robin had started his own gang of crime-fighters.
After watching several episodes, I did start to notice the attraction between Robin and Starfire, and after reading some fluffy fan fictions, started to really like the pairing. It really started out as me thinking that Robin and Starfire were cute together. However, after watching the show for a while, I did start to see how the relationship was more then just cuteness. They shared a good bond. I just fell in love with the pairing and every aspect of it. :D So of course, you can imagine my glee when I found this forum!
And that is how I (as far as I can remember) got hooked on Teen Titans and the R/S pairing.
Whoo, that took a while to type. Can you tell that I'm obsessed?
Mist Falcon - July 2, 2005 09:49 PM (GMT)

randstogetherforever - July 3, 2005 06:07 PM (GMT)
i watched the show once and became addicted! i think the 1st eppy i saw was "FINAL EXAM" and robin was`so hot and i got addicted to robin and starfire as a couple.that was` adorable how she was so worried about him.
Koriand'rStar505 - July 3, 2005 07:49 PM (GMT)
when the show first started i showed no interest in it because i thought that it was the stupidest thing i had ever seen  , but i never even really watched it and judged it on the comercials. then one day i got a call from my cousin. she asked me if i still watched cn, so i was like um... no i kind of stopped watching that a while ago, and u r a year older then me, so havent u stopped too? then she started telling me how cool the show was and that i should watch it sometime. her dad is really into the whole comic book super hero stuff so i figured well she would be into the show more then me.
even through my denial to watch the show she came over one day with character bios and episode reviews. i have to say that that made me alot more interested, so i gave it a chance. the first episode that i ever saw was forces of nature, so i told her that it wasnt the most exciting thing i had ever seen, so she invited me over to watch her taped episodes. she had all of the really good episodes like dwd and sisters, so i really got into the whole R/S thing. to this day we are the biggest tt dorks, and we r proud of it!! :thumb:
simultaneousjoy - July 3, 2005 08:05 PM (GMT)
If it weren't for Robin/Starfire I don't think I'd like the show as much as I do.
I remember sewing last summer and that Camp Cartoon had a marathon of Teen Titans on. So I watched the show while I sewed. "Date With Destiny" came on and I thought the interaction between Robin and Starfire was really cute, so I decided to keep watching the show when it came on to see if there were any more "moments" between them.
Another reason would be because I am a big JPOP fan. When I heard that Puffy Ami Yumi did the theme song for it, I decided to watch it.
I think the first episode I saw was "Transformation", not really sure.
FightAnyway - July 3, 2005 08:32 PM (GMT)
I saw the very first episode ever aired, but in bits and peices. When I saw the anime argument, I was like, "Ohhh no, I won't like this sloppy anime stuff,". So I did other stuff and didn't really pay attention. But I watched more episodes and got more interested, and, well, the rest is history. I've come to really love the anime now. :D
cojo - July 3, 2005 09:11 PM (GMT)
WEll I have always like superheros Batman and Robin espeacially so when I saw Robin I flipped and became a loyal puppy.
iluuvme - July 3, 2005 09:34 PM (GMT)

[i'm new here so i hope i'm getting this thing right]
i think i was more or less hooked on teen titans before it even started... after seeing some commercials leading up to the first episode i did some research and found a bunch of info on the old comics (which i haven't read and don't really plan to...) and i thought it looked really interesting. by the time date with destiny aired, i was a very big rob/star fan, plus i really like raven's character. so yeah, i've been a bit overly obsessed since then ^_^'
Miss David Anders - July 5, 2005 02:52 AM (GMT)
well..........
my younger brother is 9 and he watches cartoon network all the times, including teen titans. about a year ago i thought it was the stupidest thing ever. (please dont hurt me) he watched it everyday and i would be on the computer and he would have it on behind me. i would only half pay attention at first, but then i started to watch it all and i came to love it. PLUS robin and starfire. i mean COME ON! how can you love tt and not love robin and starfire?
my friends think that i'm such a nerd cause i watch tt but they haven't seen the beauty of it.
AND robin is one of the hottest things i've seen in my natural born life. :robin:
_Starfire - July 5, 2005 03:58 AM (GMT)
the first episode I saw was switched, and I liked it, but it didnt really get my attention, and then I saw DWD and I noticed that Robin and Starfire (my 2 fav. characters) had something going on so I became obsessed with it ever since...hehe...but I happened upon the show by a complete mistake.
Misha - July 5, 2005 04:14 AM (GMT)

X-titan - July 5, 2005 05:51 AM (GMT)
Ok, here we go. *takes deep breath*
See, I was watching TV one day when my mom walked in, TT hadnt come out yet, and they played a commercial and my mom was like "Oh my ogsh, was that Teen Titans?!" Im like, "Uhh... I guess... whats that?" So she pulled out all her old comic books. She has every stinkin' old TT comic, even issue 1#! 0.o Anywho, I started reading them and I got hooked. Then I say the show and it was alllllllll down hill from there. So here I am. :D
cojo - July 5, 2005 06:42 AM (GMT)

Koriand'rStar505 - July 6, 2005 04:59 PM (GMT)

darksteel1989 - July 7, 2005 02:38 PM (GMT)
It all started when I was a kid. I was reading the New Teen Titans comic books, and was actually liking it. I especially liked The Judas Contract, the part where Terra betrays the Titans and dies.
Fast-forward to nearly two decades later...
The first time the Teen Titans cartoon came out, I saw it's "anime-ness" and I didn't think it would do justice to the original comics, partially because of my bias against anime. But one day, a day without homework, a day with the computer busted, a day in which I had nothing else to do except sleep or watch TV. Considering TV to be the more logical choice, I quickly flipped over to CN. And there it was...Teen Titans. Immediately, my head said to me "change the channel, stupid, or you're gonna end up liking this show in the long run", but I didn't.
Because I saw a character which I had seen before. A yellow-haired girl who had terrakinesis. She looked a little different than before but it was still her: Terra aka Tara Markov. The episode I saw was Aftershock Pt. 1. So then my brain switched immediately to "wait, they couldn't be retelling Judas Contract now...could they?" And so, I watched further, became addicted, and further on, taped every episode, and the rest is history.
Boy, am I glad I didn't change the channel.
QueenieAndStar - July 10, 2005 06:18 PM (GMT)
Queenie: Oh! ::squeals:: I love this idea for a thread! Whoever started it is genius! Anyway, what got me started on Teen Titans was probably the Sisters episode. Or...no! I remember what it was!
I remember like, two or three years ago when I saw the very first commerical when the show was just starting out. When they started advertising it? I like the idea of Starfire. And Robin. So, being the hopeless romantic that I am, I dreamed of them together, so I decided to watch the show to find out...and then...I saw Sisters, and I was hooked.
But let's give Star a turn.
Star: Ditto for me except my friends (Queenie and my other friend who will be called Blackfire) both watched TT before I saw it and when I saw it at their houses (Masks and Sisters). I was thinking, 'Gee, Robin and Starfire make a good couple! And Starfire reminds me of Sailor Moon!' Uh...yeah I was SM crazy at that time.
OH! OH! Cannot forget Comet! Can we Queenie? Comet is---
Queenie: Erm..one sec. STOP RIGHT THERE STAR!!! Comet is...well, it was our first attempt at a fanfiction. :sweatdrop: It was very bad. Very bad... And now it HAUNTS Us!!!
BUt well yes, that is our answers to how we got hooked on TT! G'day ya'll! :wavey:
RoBiN+StArFiRe *4ever*... - July 10, 2005 07:03 PM (GMT)
Hehehehe..I remember what made me like Teen Titans as if it were yesterday....
I was watching T.V. on a summer day and I guess there was a Teen Titans marathon going on so I watched it. And I first saw Nevermore and I was about to change the channel caz to me Teen Titans was stupid until DWD was on and I immidiately fell in love with those couple!!!! It was so cute so from that moment on...I've been obssessed about it!!!!
Invisible Ink - July 10, 2005 10:48 PM (GMT)
What got me into Teen Titans? Geez, that's taking it back for me. I do remember first seeing the commericals and stuff and thinking it was pretty stupid and pointless. I mean, it didn't even look like it compared to the Justice League or anything.
If I remember correctly, it was my 11-year-old brother (Bobby) who started watching it. We were there from the beginning. I can't remember which one I watched completely first.
And then, there's fanfiction. I was just starting to figure out fanfiction.net, and I was searching the categories. And I was curious and went to the cartoons section and actually found Teen Titans.. and then I just kind of started watching it more.
Besides, it gives me something to watch. I mean, my friends each have their own thing (Sara has 'Alias' and Marie has different animes and mangas...)
Eventually, it came to down to this for me: Teen Titans, Why? ... Why not?
But unlike some of you, I've never even touched an original Teen Titans comic book. So the internet and this cartoon are the closest I have. And in a way, isn't the animated series somewhat like a fanfiction/parody of the comics? That's gotta count for something..
Mikki :slide:
LadyDark - July 10, 2005 11:56 PM (GMT)
The way I got hooked into TT was when my friends at school knew the theme song, all the shows, and then they told me to watch it, s oI asked them where and when they would air it. The first episode was Sisters, I liked it and then when I started to pay more attention, R/S were meant t be together! Then just like that I was in love of the show!!
