Nice topic Celestience... :06 Generally, I have always preferred ancient series...I've always enjoyed watching them...so I voted for ancient, then it'll be modern, then period...but of coz, I'm also looking forward to Tai Gik although it's a period drama, coz it has RAYMOND... :love

i voted modern. i've always preferred modern XD. i dont fancy period dramas, but i'm looking forward to taichi coz it has our fung XD

I like the Modern dramas for somereason.. i mean the fighting and stuff for ancient is really cool, but i like how the modern look makes them look like normal everyday people XP And something else about modern, i just love it!

got to pick ancient series cos its really something different .. that is, not that i've experienced of. funny how i still believe that people of olden days REALLY have magical powers .. and those glowing thingys you see in the series itself.

well then, modern isn't all too bad either but its really quite easy to predict what would happen since we're in the same era and stuff.

and as for PMs, nearly the same as ancient ..mostly but they're good too ^^ shows that humans do improve <3

I prefer ancient and modern, but probably ancient more since anything could happen in ancient series because of the magical/super powers. The clothing is also very different and pretty. As for period dramas, I really don't like them that much.

I prefer ancient because I could see Raymond's striking presence as an ancient warrior or his innocence as a notable scholar. He pulls off both roles well but I do love him in ruthless, warriors or emperors roles. He looks hot!!! ^_^

I voted for Ray ancient drama because in ancient he manages to look so hot as a warrior etc... and his martial arts looks so cool. Simply love his eye contacts in FTF when he was throwing those needles.

Ray looks really hot in modern too but his characters are stereotyped into playboy/rich/spoilt/impulsive etc...

he looks AND acts good in both modern & ancient.....though has he played in any post- modernish series??? none can come to my mind atm......anyone think of any?/

i prefer him in modern drama especially in la femme desperado..

ray looks really good in ancient..better than many people..
but you cant deny that he looks cute in modern too.

i love ancient dramas. ^^ they're so different =] hehe. and much more can happen and it can take you to a totally different place.

he looks hoter and cuter is modern series then in ancient series...... i do like in in twin of brothers and in Eternal Happiness(which is the first series i started to like ah fung alot)
but one of my fav is still ah fung in heart of greed and drive of life..... he was ok in La Femme Desperado too i guess

I prefer Modern. I don't know why but it might be because of my Dad.

Whenever there's something Ancient on, it has some sorta history with it and my Dad just spends most of the time when the drama is playing talking about Chinese history. So that annoys me because I can't watch.

Period confuses me =.= Er. I don't know why. It just does. Maybe because of Chinese and Western Mix? Dunno.

I like Modern cause he looks cool and better..

i think that raymond looks better in modern
(because he gets to have hotter hair, ha! LOL )
but...out of all the male actors in TVB,
i think that he looks better in ancient dramas better than anyone else.
he can actually look like an 'ancient person'

Modern series in general. Personally, I find it easier to understand. The fighting scenes there isn't really my cup of tea. Some parts are boring but then modern isn't always great in story at times too.

I don't really care for Pre-Modern. Master of Tai Chi is okay, and the fight scenes were nice to watch.
