oh, the great hall is on this floor. very important. some other things? the entrance hall, as well as the steps down to the kitchen, which is on a middle level between floors. the hufflepuff common room also finds its place on this floor.

this floor is mainly classrooms, the most prominent being muggle studies, defense against the dark arts, and history of magic.

the towers
there are four unique towers up here: the gryffindor tower, astronomy tower, the ravenclaw tower, and the owlery. all of these are almost always filled with laughter, cheer... and owl droppings.

yes, hagrid's old hut is still out there, although most people don't go in there; a new keeper of the keys lives there now. hogwarts has, however, planted many flowers along the lawn in a lovely display of exotic gardening.

st. mungo's hospital for magical maladies and injuries
founded in the late 1500s by mungo, st. mungo's is the primary (and most likely only) wizarding hospital in all of britain. it is located in london in an abandoned department store; known for treating the wizarding community for all sorts of illnesses. they have even been known to treat muggles a time or two.
