Agrona read the note aloud, and Thanos explained. "Scynthris is a name we know - but little more. She's a top assassin, if not THE top assassin, in our Mithril Moonlight elites. Mikhail never really shared his hierarchy, so for all we know she's in command now. Never should've trusted that man with so much-"
"Thanos."
"What?"
"He served my family loyally for centuries. Why would we not trust him?"
The necromancer tapped the butt of his scythe against the door frame, and growled. "Maybe. Anyway, back to the subject at hand...all we really know about her is Mikhail always gushed about how good she was at killing people. He practically gets teary-eyed at that sort of thing..." Thanos waved his hand dismissively. "She takes lives; I return them. Except, the lives she takes are rarely worth returning. We ensured the MM were paid well, I have no idea why they would go rogue.
"As to this prior warning she writes about, we thought it was a prank. Obviously, it wasn't. Not that I have any intention of listening to her anyway." He shrugged. "Whatever her reasons for turning against us, it will be her downfall, not ours."
"How can you be so...cavalier about all this?!" Eleanor demanded, eyes glinting as she used her superior night vision to seek out the culprit. "You just said we have a whole group of assassins after us, and we're still standing around the campfire talking?"
"Calm, Eleanor," Gebhard soothed. "I'm sure they know what they're doing." Turning back to the older couple, he continued, "That said, I think it might be wise to relocate."
"Because whatever else she may be, Scynthris is a professional. She will give us a bit of time, because she is utterly confident in her ability to do away with us," Thanos assured them.
Agrona shook her head. "Still, it's hardly prudent to stay here. It's time to be on the move..." As she spoke, the dark knight went back inside the airship, motioning for the others to follow her. "The question of where is best discussed where other ears cannot hear."

Rufus stayed silent during the brief exchange between the party. He kept one eye on the wastes in front of him as they talked.
"Hmm, an assassin. I've heard of these people but I never actually thought I would get to deal with one."
He heard the suddenly outcry from Ela behind him and thought it best to not say anything. It might complicate the situation. Then Agrona motioned to them to follow her.
"Relocating is a good idea but I doubt it will do any good. If this woman is as successful as they say she is. Still, slaying her would be a boon to me thats if she doesn't get me first."
Rufus followed the female blade mistress back into the hulk of the airship.
"Best save that question for later I guess."

"I don't know whats worth fighting for or why I have to scream, I don't know why I instigate amd say what I don't mean, I don't know why I am this way, I'll never be alright."
Once the door was shut, Agrona held her hands behind her back and addressed the others. "I suggest we strike off in a random direction that makes no logical sense in order to throw her off our trail...she is likely anticipating our next move to be traveling to the home of these reptilian folk, and will be looking for us along that route. So, we will not take it. Not directly, at any rate." She shrugged, and held up her hand. "Oh, we are going there. But I believe that doing so in a straightforward manner would be a mistake."
