Later on at the nearby hut that was a hospital, Silvetta and Claude, who were in azure gowns, fully recovered as their injuries were treated prior to them taking their rest. However, Silvetta did not bothered sleeping during her rest to heal. Mistress Mida could be seen coming inside the hut with Bronzica and Illumina at her side, approaching the two.
"Well, I have the fee paid off for you two," Mistress Mida said. "Now the only thing that I need to assure is how well you two are before we can actually leave safely."
"The doctors have not told us of our current conditions at the moment, but my wounds are healed, my lady," Silvetta answered.
"Good, but I can still wait for the final report," Mistress Mida said and then turned towards Claude. "... And you?"
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 02:25 AM (GMT)
Claude shrugged and sat up looking around. He couldn't remember much about the previous day and it would be best to check back to his journal later but he knew the situation well enough.
"Mine are as well. Thank you for your hospitality, Madam."
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 02:34 AM (GMT)
"Good, now to get a doctor's report"
Mistress Mida then caught the attention of a doctor passing by. She then approached the doctor to ask her questions. Illumina sat at a nearby seat after hearing what she was hoping to hear and started reading a newspaper. Meanwhile, Bronzica walked up to Silvetta, putting her hammer down to hug her older sister.
"I'm glad you are okay, sister," Bronzica said. "I was getting so worried that- Well, nevermind what I said, I am just glad you are okay now."
"Thank you, sister," Silvetta answered, her face seemed indifferent in spite of the fact she clearly said it in gratitude. The silver-haired girl then stood up from her bed to look around for her weapons.
"Oh, don't worry, the Mistress has your weapons with her for safe keeping, sister," Bronzica answered as she pointed at Mistress Mida carrying Silvetta's sheathed swords on her own back. She then approached her older sister and gave her another hug.
Mistress Mida then returned with a doctor by her side.
"Well, I was told that both of you should have recovered over ten minutes ago," Mistress Mida answered.
The doctor bowed at the two patients and smiled warmly.
"Yes, however, you must restrain from intense physical activity for a few hours since your formally injured areas are still too soft to handle it without adjustment."
Silvetta nodded.
"I understand, mam"
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 02:40 AM (GMT)
Listening Claude looked a bit dejected when he noticed Silvetta's stoic behavior even towards her kin. Drifting off for a few minutes he heard the doctor and shook his head...
"I'll do my best, but I've never really been good at following doctor's orders..."
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 02:49 AM (GMT)
"It's not too difficult to follow in all honesty," The doctor answered as she then wrote down on her notepad. "Just relax and avoid all intense physical activity whether it is physical labor, excercise, combat or anything of the like. In fact, I'd suggest both of you to restrain from even something as easy as doing chores for a few hours."
The doctor then looked up to Mistress Mida and handed her a piece of paper with a note.
"I understand that she works under your order, but do please take it easy on her for the next few hours so she can recover from her injuries," The doctor told the tall Youkai woman.
Mistress Mida nodded and said "I'll take your word for it and let her have a good break. Thank you very much."
Silvetta and Bronzica came over to Mistress Mida's side shortly after. Mistress Mida smiled as she looked down at her servants, then faced Claude and Illumina.
"Okay, I believe we can go now," Mistress Mida told the remaining two.
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 02:52 AM (GMT)
Claude smiled and nodded. The relaxing part he understood but it was remembering to keep calm is what worried him as he followed the others out...
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 03:11 AM (GMT)
Mistress Mida lead her servants and Claude out of the hut after she called them to follow her. The moment they looked outside, the group spotted villagers fixing up all collateral damage the battle from earlier caused.
"... I should really apologize for this," Silvetta suggested as she began to feel guilty.
"Nonsense!" Mistress Mida said to Silvetta with a loud, reassuring tone. "I have this tooken care of since I can easily pay for this mere property damage you and Claude's battle delivered! Just relax, okay?"
Illumina walked up to Mistress Mida and held the newspaper she was reading, clearly showing a rather important article to the tall and extravagant Youkai.
"My lady, you may want to look at this"
Mistress Mida took the newspaper and began to read. Her eyes widened.
"Oh my...." Mistress Mida started her exclaim of excitement. "EXCELLENT!"
Mistress Mida tossed the paper back at her housekeeper, who caught it in her arms, and started to brisk off and lept on top of a lampost, looking down as she balanced on it.
"Illumina, Bronzica!"
"Yes, my lady?" Bronzica and Illumina replied willingly.
"It's time for yet another trip destination, so pack up now so we can head out!" Mistress Mida announced to the two before facing Claude and Silvetta.
"Do you need my help, my lady?" Silvetta asked.
"No, no, no," Mistress Mida answered wildly as she waved her septor around. "You and Claude shall remain in this humble and quiet town to relax and avoid any work for the next few hours."
Silvetta nodded.
"Do you need me to come at least, my lady?" Silvetta asked in further concern.
"No, you shall not follow me!" Mistress Mida shouted back with the tone of authority. "In fact, if I catch or find out that you are working and not relaxing, I shall punish you for defiance!"
"...." Silvetta paused for a moment at the rather deviating command, something she has never been demanded in quite a while. "Yes, my lady."
"Good, be a good girl, okay?" Mistress Mida said in a more pleasing tone. "Anymore questions?"
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 03:20 AM (GMT)
Listening Claude smiled and put his arms behind his head...
"It's not a problem though is i-"
Hearing Mida cut him off he sighed and listened as she began storming off. His fears confirmed by Mida's sharp order to tell her to quiet down
Claude tapped his chin and nodded. Before looking down at himself with a bit of a blush...
"Ah...just one. Do you have our clothes somewhere?"
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 03:28 AM (GMT)
"Hm?"
Mistress Mida realized that the two were still in their hospital gowns and gasped.
"Oh my, I think I have been too sidetracked with, errr, a little something.."
Mistress Mida jumped off the lampost and then landed only to point at the hospital hut.
"Go back inside to get dressed!" Mistress Mida said as she seemed to be rushing. "Both of you, me and the rest have business to attend!"
Silvetta nodded.
"May I also have my swords back as well, my lady?"
Mistress Mida nodded rapidly and shouted "No, this would only encourage you to try and defy my order!"
"Plus they're just too valuable!"
"..." Silvetta paused before she spoke again. "Yes, my lady."
"Now, me, Bronzica and Illumina need to be heading off..." Mistress Mida exclaimed as she walked off briskfully. "Follow me, you two!"
"Yes, my lady!" Bronzica and Illumina answered in unison before following her.
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 03:33 AM (GMT)
Claude scratched his cheek...
"I guess I shouldn't ask for my swords back...Silvetta we should probably get dressed."
Heading back toward the hut he glanced back...
"Are you alright with that?"
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 03:36 AM (GMT)
Silvetta nodded at Claude as she followed behind him.
"Yes, Mis- I mean Claude," Silvetta answered and blushed shamefully with her hands over her mouth before letting them down to her sides. "I apologize for that."
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 03:43 AM (GMT)
Feeling a little disheartened, Claude knelt down gently pat her on the head in an attempt to reassure her.
"Calm down Silvetta. It's not a big deal ya know?" Breaking into a smile he cracked his wrist and began scanning the room with his eyes.."Well then... let's find our clothes shall we?"
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 03:48 AM (GMT)
Silvetta nodded.
"Affirmative," She answered as stoically as always.
With a few minutes of searching, the two would find their clothes hanging on a rack across their respective beds.
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 03:58 AM (GMT)
With a sigh he passed Silvetta's clothes back, before making his way to the corner...
"Hey uh...Do you enjoy working under Madam Mida?"
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 04:03 AM (GMT)
Silvetta, who also splitted away from Claude to dress with her head turned the opposite direction, started gertting dress as she listened to Claude speak.
"You can initially see it that way, however," Silvetta continued as she pushed her arms into the sleeves of her shirt. "I take much gratitude in my work as I respect my Mistress for providing me help to avoid any conflict during the Great Youkai War long ago as well as any political conflict in general. She also provides me with everything I desire as long as I serve her."
Silvetta then was nearly finished dressing.
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 04:08 AM (GMT)
Feeling impatient glanced back for a moment...
"I noticed you liked working for her but...I'm kind of worried by the fact she gave the impression that's almost all you would do if given the option."
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 04:10 AM (GMT)
Silvetta finished dressing up a few seconds after Claude had glanced back at her.
"It is the only option," Silvetta answered. "It was a decision I made for the good of myself and that of my own younger sister."
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 04:18 AM (GMT)
Claude frowned and turned back heading over to where Silvetta was so he could get dressed
"I meant no offense I just wondered," Sighing he slipped on his pants "Why you were always so reserved..."
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 04:23 AM (GMT)
With her back remaining faced at Claude while turned away, Silvetta paused for a moment as she took a deep and quiet breath.
"I guess you can say it is how I am and who I am," Silvetta answered. "Are you complete with your dressing process... Claude?"
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 04:26 AM (GMT)
Slipping on his jacket and zipping it to hide the tears from the fight he nodded...
"Yeah I am. I guess I felt a little aloof with Madam Mida's boisterous mannerisms." Tapping his chin he sighed..."Well I don't know you very well, so what do you normally eat?"
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 04:32 AM (GMT)
Silvetta then turned around to face Claude in confidence that he is dressed.
"I apologize for that as well, Claude," Silvetta answered. "I hope that she has not left you any bad impressions during that time."
Then she heard Claude asked her about her eating habits.
"I normally am carnivorous, but have attempted to try some omnivorous diets out of my own curiousity... It usually doesn't go well half of the times. My most important diet is Hu-"
Silvetta paused and briefly sighed.
"Would you not get shocked if I were to tell you this?"
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 04:35 AM (GMT)
Claude sighed and leaned against a wall
"Go ahead. I'd rather not make it difficult for you to eat my cooking."
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 04:38 AM (GMT)
"Please do not be shocked," Silvetta said as she took another deep breath before the revelation. "As Oni, me and my younger sister are mostly carnivorous and especially get the mosty nutrients off of... Human flesh."
Silvetta then looked down with a sigh.
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 04:45 AM (GMT)
"Why would I be shocked? Some people are different..."
Claude smiled and tried to keep his voice steady though he was still pretty upset. He didn't know if it was capable of getting a supplement to replace flesh with this level of technology and discrimination but...
"Mmm...well I can't cook a person and sleep tonight so, is there anything else that I could make or get you instead?"
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 04:52 AM (GMT)
Silvetta then looked up to Claude with a nod, the expression on her face continued to remain indifferent regardless of how she felt.
"Anything of a high extremely high protein and protein fats," Silvetta answered. "Meat of course, a very high amount of calories as we Oni need it for our bodies."
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 05:00 AM (GMT)
Snapping his fingers he looked over to her and made his way toward the door, standing next to it while waiting for her response
"Ah would you mind maybe a pork product of some kind? Pigs and human flesh are pretty close chemically so it should work just as well."
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 05:06 AM (GMT)
The small Oni girl nodded.
"Yes, that shall do just fine," Silvetta said as she then walked over to follow Claude. "May I ask where are we to go now?"
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 05:10 AM (GMT)
Claude tapped his chin as they walked on...
"Well hopefully a butcher, but if we can find a tavern we could eat there too..."
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 05:15 AM (GMT)
Silvetta, following Claude from behind, then reached into a pocket of her dress and took out a small bag, untying it. She then had a flashback of Mistress Mida.
"Remember, Silvetta, do spend wisely as I want to avoid spending so much of my treasure."
She then refocused on Claude and answered.
"There is enough for us to get a meal at the butcher as it appears"
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 05:26 AM (GMT)
Claude shook his head and made a dismissive gesture...
"Alright then. I'll pay, so don't worry about money for now."
Sighing he began looking around for a butcher's...
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 05:32 AM (GMT)
Silvetta nodded and walked after Claude as she put her money bag away.
"Affirmative"
The two would soon come across a small brickhouse that indicated itself as a meatshop with some rather obvious features.
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 05:36 AM (GMT)
Claude made his way in careful to hold the door for Silvetta as they entered. Approaching the butcher he smiled.
"A slab of pork please."
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 05:41 AM (GMT)
Silvetta entered through the door as Claude held the door open for her.
"Thank you, Claude," She answered.
At the response of the young man's request for meat had a woman responded and walked over to the front, smiling back at Claude.
"Why hello there!" The woman answered, blood stained apron being very apparent in view. "A slab of pork, you say?"
The woman then went to the row of freezer boxes and went to the one that had various pig meats. She then found the one for pork and pulled out a slab, placing it on a wrap. She then came back to Claude to show him the slab of pork.
"Is this amount fine for you, sir?"
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 05:47 AM (GMT)
Claude glanced over to Silvetta...
"I think it should be...unless you have any requests."
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 05:55 AM (GMT)
"It is sufficient," Silvetta nodded during her answer.
"That sounds like a yes to me," The woman said as she was preparing to wrap the pork slab up in the protective meat sheet. "That will come to about 500 shu, sir."
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 06:01 AM (GMT)
Paying the WOman he took the meat and walked out toward the exit, holding the door again and asked a question he had been dreading for a while...
"Mmm..Silvetta do you like your meat cooked or raw?"
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 06:09 AM (GMT)
"Thanks, have a good day!" the woman answered cheerfully as she took her money and handed Claude his product.
"Thank you, Claude," Silvetta answered as she walked out the door that Claude held open for her.
She then heard Claude's question and answered as expected.
"Cooked would be most preferred."
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 06:13 AM (GMT)
Claude let out a sigh of relief and smiled...
"Alright, we should probably find a safe place to start a fire. Did you see one when you were passing through?"
SOS Mage - March 11, 2010 06:19 AM (GMT)
Silvetta then turned and pointed at the trail that lead to the border of the village, which was surrounded by walls.
"Past the border of the village, the local government places grill ovens out to allow the homeless to cook," Silvetta answered. "We can use the grill ovens from outside the border to cook the pork."
Skillkill - March 11, 2010 06:22 AM (GMT)
Claude nodded and headed in the indicated direction
"Mm...You're awful quiet huh?"
