Note: I placed the topic in this subforum since it is mostly a Star Wars page, but it contains a lot of useful detail and resources on those interested in military combat and elements, realistic or sci-fi based.

Also, it appears at the forum is responsible for their web original story collabration called "The Salvation War", which kind of reminds me of Doom meets War of the Worlds after reading through it a few times. Basically, it's all the world's modern military forces join forces to fight demons (and later on, angels apparently), though it's kind of a curbstomp war due to the fact the supernaturals aren't uberly overpowered (in fact, it's stated they aren't as supernatural as they thought to be) and use bronze age weaponry as opposed to humans using weapons we use today... Yes, even THOSE weapons.

A good subversion from the whole "humanity gets their asses kicked and have God be their Deux Ex Machina" despite the fact that I am more of a mythology geek nowadays. >.>
